I recommend reading the complete article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2015/02/11/marcus-peters-washington-nfl-draft-combine/23259443/
He goes through the different incidents he had during his career at UW. Talks about the last year, where he had to deal with a lot of new expectations in his life.
He has some good things to says about Petersen:
"I don't blame (Petersen) for anything. All I can blame is myself, because I made those decisions and I have to live with them."
About EWU game "I just embarrassed the whole University of Washington program on live television – me throwing, as my mama would say, a hissy fit," said Peters, who was suspended for the next week's game against Illinois. "I threw a hissy fit, man. I embarrassed my teammates, the coaching staff, the program, man. I wouldn't have let me back on after that."
Last week "I apologized to him once again, and I told him that I appreciate him even working with me," Peters said. "They were working with me a lot, and I just – I didn't get it. I didn't see it in front of me that they were trying to help me out.
"To be honest, I would tell you today: Why wouldn't you kick me off the team? He was trying to help me. He was teaching me some hard lessons at that time, and I just didn't take it right."
He will be at UW pro day.

Beau wouldn't let him use the Dempsey.
Pete's a grownup if you hadn't realized that by now. -
A lot of parents who think being soft will help little Corky succeed in life need to read this. It's hard to be a disciplinarian. We want to be liked. But if you think about it the coaches or teachers who we respect years later were the ones that cared enough to be a hardass when it mattered.

I was going to chalk most of what he said up to advice from his agent, but the fact that he's allowed to participate in UW pro day says a lot. -
Peters is a stud. For some reason I feel he's tailor made for the Seahawks.

I was young and dumb once. Now, I just older and dumb.

I agree and glad CP showing it wasn't anything personal and that Peters' dismissal was best for everyone involved.
Hopefully the message really is sinking in with Peters and maybe he's already working with a behavioral coach at the behest of his agent.

Only part of the article that made me cringe a bit was the comments from Peters' dad saying that Peters had no warning, just gone.
I find that hard to believe.
And given Marcus' comments, I think he probably finds that hard to believe as well. -

Make no mistake, this is a fluff piece. It is interesting, but still a fluff piece. Peters' agent told him to get ahead of everything.
I did think wtf to Petersen mentioning the music Peters listens to. What does he think young black dudes listen to? There was a video of UW players before the Apple Cup getting hyped to , "in love with the cocoa." Cocoa is slang for cocaine for you old geysers out there. -
