I am still pissed we didn't land Hall & Jack.

Fleenor knew we wouldn't get Budda....
Probably before Budda knew we wouldn't get Budda....

Back to the original topic....Tosh has been responsible for some key recruits...Shaq, Mathis, Farria, Qualls. I bet if we go 9-3 in the regular season he should be able to bring in another strong class. The DL should only get better from here. The OL is where we need a big class.

I think given that this coaching staff has no problem getting ranked classes going 7-6 if they actually do something like win 9-10 games I can see them getting top 15.

To get a good class though some guys will be suddenly senior'd though.

Last I heard, we have 12 graduating seniors. ASJ, Sankey, Kasen, and Shelton are all possible early NFL draft entrees. I don't think anyone but ASJ is all that likely, but you never know.

There are plenty of guys to suddenly senior. Both the OL and DL have at least 3-4 guys, probably a QB who ends up being 3rd in the depth, add in guys without a position like Derrick Brown, lots of guys at LB, maybe a DB, a couple guys at WR I can think of, etc. There will be a freshman or two that doesn't acclimate to school or the program, probably a career ending injury or two, a guy or two kicked off the team like Vatuvei, maybe an academic casualty.

I think this class will have 20-25 guys, but I don't think it will be a really highly rated class (somewhere around 20), even if (still a big if) we win 10. We already have some guys who aren't all that highly rated, and we don't seem to be in on too many elite guys, although I haven't been following very closely. The 10 wins will really give us momentum for the next class, and I think that is where it would pay huge dividends.

If we go 9-3 in the regular season I have a difficult time seeing we won't get a top 20 class.

That game last night was a huge change and a potential wake-up call to recruits. The stadium looked stunning and it was an SEC-like atmosphere with a clear top 20 performance on the field.

You could be right, and having great recruiter's like Tosh and Sirmon definitely helps. I think Tui will be a great recruiter as well. The only thing I am worried about is we don't seem to be in the running for a lot of 4 and 5 star guys right now. Will a 9-3 season change that? It will certainly help, but it seems we have a lot of ground to make up. Top 20 seems very reasonable, but to get a 10-15 ranking, we would need to reel in some elite guys, as well as get rid of some of the lower ranked players. I will let it play out. It's awfully warm for September.

We will get a lot of guys showing interest who might not be now if we have a 10 win season.
