Wonder if he still goes 1st round. If i'm him I try to get picked up over seas and make a quick six figs before the draft. He strikes me as a guy that needs to be in an active program to have a chance at reaching his potential. I don't trust him to get solid work in at the local YMCA.
That being said, who gives a shit, he's gone and brought nothing more than wide eye block shotting to UW. -

The season was already over, now they'll be lucky to win 2 more conference games.
They are probably the 2nd worst team in the conference to usc now -

All depends on what the root cause was ...
He'll still most likely be a first rounder because of size ... but I doubt lottery at this point.
Thing is that the bigger issue with him on this is that he's proving once again that he isn't trust worthy and that now becomes a harder sell for him to teams to believe in him since he continually gives reasons not to. -
I have it on good authority that he was booted for strangling Jimmy Lake.

I think Romar is more serious about running a clean program than most, but we haven't seen many kids kicked out in his tenure, and it's not like he's recruiting cerebral, lunchpail, kind of guys you'd want to date your daughters. I don't think Romar's looking for reasons to toss great players off the team. I'm not sure about that. Other drugs are out of the system pretty quickly. To fail multiple drug tests, it's gotta be weed. I'm sure there are other guys on the team that smoke, but Upshaw probably has different rules which were put in place when he transferred. -

It seems like Romar has a pretty stable way to handle these situations. He gives the player multiple shots to succeed, and if the player doesn't not meed the standards he's booted. For me, I like how he structures it. It's totally up to the player to handle his own shit. If he chooses to drink/smoke/etc well that's his choice. Romar isn't going to be the guy running around and covering up players issues(this isn't oregon).dnc said:

Upshaw isn't a college guy. Just go to the dleague and see if you can hang. Once there, tweed is less of an issue. -
