Shelton doesn't need to rush the passer to be successful, he's special in the run game just based on his pursuit and sideline to sideline speed at his size.

Kikaha is the kind of player that can/will make himself good through work.

Peters as a hawk would be a hook wet dream of mine.

Peters replacing Maxwell would be amazing. The Seahawks already have experience with players who choke coaches as well (Harvin), so this could be a good fit. About Shelton, I think the running game is becoming important again. Everything ebbs and flows in the NFL and you are now seeing the elite QB's depend on their running game more (Green Bay with Lacy, New Orleans with Ingram, NE with whoever the fuck they sign off the street).

Dallas organization has drafted several Boise players. They talk about how much they like those guys, so it would not surprise me to see them draft one of the UW players if Petersen and staff give a positive review on them.

Here is the article about the Cowboys love of the Boise program: dallasnews.com/sports/dallas-cowboys/headlines/20140518-demarcus-lawrence-latest-link-in-unlikely-connection-between-cowboys-and-boise-state.ece

    Quote pulled from it:

“We like Boise guys,” head coach Jason Garrett said. “We always take a hard look at where the player has played, what kind of program [it is] and what that program is all about. They do a great job up there. It’s a very competitive program. The players that come out of there compete; they play hard. We’ve got two of them.”

I don't see an organization that values character as much as the Hawks do drafting a guy that is seemingly not dependable like Peters given the cost that they would have to pay to get him.

One guy I would love to see them get is Tyler Lockette from KState - has a lot of similar attributes to Golden Tate IMO

That's actually a pretty good call. The only thing he lacks of Tate's, from what I've seen, is the attitude. I don't know what kind of draft pick Lockette is projected to be. I was impressed with him though.

You have the current Seahawks regime confused with Ruskell. Simon was arrested days before the draft and the Seahawks picked him up. They love Lynch. They gave up a lot for Harvin. Bruce Irvin was pretty damn edgy coming out of college. They take chances on talent.

They believe in giving second chances and not necessarily looking at the past as an indicator provided that the player has proved it.

They've also proven that when you have a player that doesn't 100% buy into what they are doing as a team and organization they send his ass to the curb faster than you can say Percy Harvin.

My sense is that Peters has never been team first, edge second. I'd be surprised if he ended up a Seahawk. There are far safer options that they can go after in the same draft range.

Plus, I expect that the Hawks are going to rebuild a lot of their offense this offseason. They have pretty much signed their entire defense. They need to look at rebuilding parts of their OL as well as finding another option at TE and WR.

He's less edgy than Tate ... but that's not a bad thing.

Not only is he a solid WR that can stretch the field, but he's very good in the kicking game which has been a glaring hole this season.
