Wisconsin Press: No Respect for Hawks. Packers Choked.
"When historians remember the NFC Championship Game at CenturyLink Field, what should it be called? The Big Choke would be appropriate." Bob McGinn, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

good, hurts worse this way

Who fucking cares what a bunch of obese people in Wisconsin think.
-
Fuck 'em. That's just typical butthurt from fans of a team that just cooged it.
Now, be ready for the national media to gargle Brady's sack for 2 weeks, while they discount the Seahawks. This is actually good, because it plays right into the hands of the Hawks' players.
I think this Super Bowl is going to be much better than last year's. The Patriots look to be light years ahead of where the Broncos were a year ago. -
If the roles were reversed we'd be saying the same damn things.
-
Who cares.
Seattle doesn't have the pussy coach who from inside the 1 yard line chooses to go for 3... twice.
Seattle doesn't have the pussy secondary who intercepts a pass with 5 minutes left and slides down at the 50 with nothing but greenfield in front of him.
Seattle has a coach who's balls fucking chime when he walks and a group of players that fucking embodies the word team.
Piss on the Pack. Their coach is a fucking loser who cost them a shot at the Super Bowl. -
Not to take anything away from the Seahawks, but they absolutely did choke.
-
They Pooked that game. Simple fact.
Their head coach set up the choke and their players finished it off. -

Thanks to Mike McCarthyFS and the rest of the chokers this game further reiterated that only the Seahawks can beat the Seahawks.

All I would say to Arron Rodgers is, the best team will be in Phoenix in two weeks. Going all Mike Bellotti is never a good look.
Also the way the Packers threw the special teamer under the bus when the defense gave up 21 points in 2 minutes and overtime is not classy. The Hawks didn't scream at all the guys who fucked up during the game, they just kept playing.
McCarthy knows that was the type of game that gets coaches fired. But Seattle's defense is the reason it wasn't 35-7. Two teams are on the field -
Seattle's defense and his spineless decisions to settle for FGs. But still.RaceBannon said:All I would say to Arron Rodgers is, the best team will be in Phoenix in two weeks. Going all Mike Bellotti is never a good look.

We don't know that they would have scored. They had more than one shot from inside the one. Coaches have to weigh the odds against the best defense in 20 years.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Yes, I would have gone and I would rip my coach for not going but you can't assume a hypothetical -

Plus you send the message that you're actually there to win, not just there to hang around and hope your opponent loses. -
If you lead 19-7 and have the ball with 5 minutes left it isn't your offense that lost the game for you. Duck fans think the offense lost the Buckeye game. Nobody understands defense anymore. The Packers had Seattle shut down. Then Matthews turned into a pussy and instead of having a hall of fame game he was on the sidelines as the Seattle offense came to life.
There's a reason no one had ever come back from 16 points down in a championship game. It was a truly incredible series of events -
If they go for it and fail, it's a totally different game. The Seahawks probably don't need a furious comeback.
-
My suggestion for Green Bay. Fire the coach and hire Carroll Jr., Sark would have gone for it when on the line and had some great bubble screen passes.
-
The only 4th and goals Greenbay faced were in the 1st quarter and would have pinned Seattle on the 1 of they didn't convert.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:If they go for it and fail, it's a totally different game. The Seahawks probably don't need a furious comeback.

You think the decision to kick the field goals was influenced by the reputation of Seattle's defense? Maybe just a little fear factor there?
-
That's exactly what happened. Remember McCarthy never even chose to throw at Sherman in September.PurpleJ said:You think the decision to kick the field goals was influenced by the reputation of Seattle's defense? Maybe just a little fear factor there?

19 points isn't enough to win in the modern NFL, especially on the road against the defending champs.RaceBannon said:If you lead 19-7 and have the ball with 5 minutes left it isn't your offense that lost the game for you. Your point about Clay Matthews is huge though. Sherman played with one arm but Matthews pussied out. -
Richard Sherman is a grown ass man. I can't believe the tackle he made on Nelson on 3rd and 10 to hold GB to the final field goal hasn't gotten more attention. If he doesn't bring Nelson down with one arm GB may get that first down and still have a shot at the end zone to win it. Gutsy performance by the best corner in the game.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

OTOH, if you're Nelson and you're supposed to be one of the top 5 receivers in the game, you can't let a one armed cornerback tackle you one on one with the game on the line. -
Earl Thomas dislocated his shoulder, and then came back in and hit Eddie Lacy at full speed.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

Thomas and Sherman proved they were both fucking TUFF, while Clay Matthews died of full blown sandinvaginitis. -

What a great thread.

So, if Green Bay choked in the last 3 minutes, did Seattle choke in the first 57? Passes deflecting off of Kearse's hands and Baldwin fumbling kick offs.PurpleJ said:Not to take anything away from the Seahawks, but they absolutely did choke.
The bottom line is that the entire game was a dreck fest, it's just that the roles reversed with a few minutes left. -
No they definitely choked at the end. Especially on the 2 point play and the onside kick.Passion said:

It gets worse... "Aaron Rodgers: 'We were the better team today.' He’s right, and now the Packers will go at least five years between Super Bowl appearances despite arguably having the best quarterback in the NFL on their roster." NBC SportsThomasFremont said:
