Social Media as a marketing tool is vastly overrated in my opinion. Depending on what industry you are in it might have some use but I doubt prospective customers are dicking around on Facebook or Twitter all day. -
I'm not on facebook so if I'm looking for a service on google and the link is to facebook its an automatic no sale. Nor to I look to twitter to find something

I always get a belly laugh when I see SC or Stanford tickets promoted on my UCLA dominated Twitter feed. Tells me the targeting for social media marketing is still really fucktarded and clueless.
