I've been really impressed by the development of the offense this year, so I would hate to lose Frost now that things have really hit their stride.

I would like to see 10 teams in with #1 and #2 get byes the first week.

Then what? You'd have six teams remaining after the first round. You'd have to seed six or 14 if you're going to give two first-round byes. Ten doesn't work.

I guess this was directed at me as a part of your new and weird obession with Montana and Gregg whatver, but HuskyJW was the person who posted the math failure, not me. You've gone off the deep end. It's fascinating.

I hope Ohio State somehow beats Wisconsin without a QB and FSU wins. Does Ohio State leapfrog TCU? I doubt it because the committee knows Ohio State will likely get plungered with an inexperienced, third string QB. But it would be cool if they did.

Lubick. He's already better than Frost and the reason why Slingblade made him the co-coordinator.

Something else I just heard. Is it true that Helfrich, has taken over the play calling duties since the Arizona game?

Only reason that Ohio would get in is because of $$$ with the number of nut jobs that show up for their plungering ...

TCU getting boosted to 3 tells me that the Committee is sending a message that if TCU takes care of their business the way that they need to this weekend, there's very little chance that they get pushed out of the Top 4.

    I agree

TCU at #3 is much more significant than Florida State at #4. Especially after Jeff Long said "Based on their body of work, Florida State is a solid #4". If that's the case, then TCU is in great shape. If there are no upsets in the top four, then the top four won't change. The only thing that might happen is some shuffling within the four, if some teams struggle more than others in their title games.

For instance, base don the last couple weeks, I could easily see Oregon jump Alabama if Alabama struggles again this week, and Oregon rolls Arizona. Or, possibly TCU and Florida State switching back, if Florida State rolls this week. Or Both.

I personally think Florida State will lose this week, and if Ohio State loses, I can easily see the possibility of GT leapfrogging Baylor. I think the committee is going to make a statement with Baylor. You can't schedule a winless SMU, Northwestern State, and Buffalo for your non conference and expect to make the top 4 with a loss. Baylor's schedule is a complete embarrassment, and if they make thew final 4, it will send a message that out of conference scheduling isn't important. Again, sorry Baylor, but you've got ZERO chance.

One thing that is worth pointing out on both Baylor and TCU is that both played SMU.

I think that there's an interesting distinction here though:

TCU plays SMU every year - they are long standing rivals in the Metroplex and the scheduling of that game has little to do with padding your schedule with an easy win from a TCU perspective. That game gets played regardless of how good/bad TCU or SMU is.

In contrast, SMU and Baylor while being old SWC rivals, are not yearly rivals. Scheduling SMU for Baylor is a conscious decision where they are using Baylor as part of their C, C, F OOC scheduling.

    Just food for thought.
