Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.

QB's are plenteous. Why not go "GIT" a good on?

The Pac 12 teams have been in a distinct advantage because of the development level of the QB's on the West Coast. California high schools have had Passing Leagues for many years instead of having "Spring Football". 7 on 7 tournaments are major events in California and have grown to the point that they rival Off-Season sports like Baseball and Track for participation. So the QB's on the West Coast have traditionally been more polished and ready to play because they have the reps. Let's go get one!!!!

To me this is critical ... a QB, a PG, or a playmaking center in hockey ... in all of those positions, you don't get good at finding ways to get the ball/puck in the hands of your playmakers by doing anything other than playing and getting the reps that you need. In all of these positions, it's not about seeing the man but about seeing the space. It's having the confidence in your teammates that they will be where they need to be.

Absolutely critical to have someone who can get it done for you at Quarterback. But like I keep repeating, the critical thing is to identify these kids at earlier ages and become acquainted with them before everyone is already in their ear.

There aren't really that many good QBs in the Pac-12 right now though.

That raises a question about what defines a good QB. People think Kessler is a very good or great QB based on stats, but in big games he struggles. You could maybe compare Kessler to Keith Price.

In terms of good QBs, you've got Mariotta, Hundley, Goff and the two guys from ASU.

I actually think he might be good, but Todd Graham thinks Kelly is better and Kelly isn't good.
