It was the right move. USC's defensive front in far superior to UCLA's and their crowd is terribly fickle. It didn't work, they forced a 3 and out and got it right back in good shape.

Sark's gonna Sark is his QB not doing shit against any decent team, but throwing for 350+ on the bad teams. Buck Allen should be touching the ball 30-40 times in a game like this.

Regardless you don't flip the field early in the game for 3 points. The odds of an offense going 95+ yards for a TD is very low. Worst case normally they kick a field goal. You still come out ahead of taking 3, flipping the field and giving up another TD.

Only Justin Wilcox would miss the thousands of hours of film with Hundley wilting like a flower every time someone sends 5 at him.
They are such a mediocre coaching staff but they will always be in the hunt with their talent, especially once they are back to 85 ships. -
