Comparing penalties per play with the conference avg would be interesting. Or not. Either way it would be interesting.

For the first 6 games, the team did a great job taking care of the ball. Since the Oregon game, that hasn't been the case. Penalties seem to be getting better, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Good chart though. It shows some little improvements have been made.

The fumbles number is way high, but..... Cyler. 2012 Keith Price was also a big fan of fumbling. I would wager to guess that if a team is fumbling a lot it probably has a lot to do with their QB.

What I was curious about is whether this is a new, Petersen trend of sloppiness, or the fitful breaking of the Sark slop tendencies.
Penalties are still way too high, but better than 3/5 Sark years. Interceptions are much better. Turnovers are better than 4/5 Sark years.
I lean with breaking the Sark trends, not something new.
