There has been a beeping sound happening ever 5 seconds in my office all this week. Everyone else seems too lazy to deal with it. Any suggestions outside of setting fire to the entire building for dealing with it?

I wouldn't worry about it. Same thing happened to me during the last vortex. Once the marine flow takes back over, you'll be fine.
However if you do opt for option 1, be sure you lock all the doors from the outside first. -
