Really hoping for an Alabama loss ... that should put TCU firmly in the Top Four then ...
Also wouldn't be shocked to see TCU pass up Florida State in the near future if FSU continues to play lackluster football ... they are dropping like a rock at this point.

Worried Baylor will pass TCU if they win out (I don't think they will). Alabama loss would be key for TCU, you are right.
-
The Big 12 sucks. They need to have a championship game.
-
I like it that Alabama is #5. Should keep them pissed off enough to win out. Not sure how FSU gets jumped by Oregon as they have yet to lose to an unranked team...
-
Baylor SHOULD win out ... they have 2 home games left (Okie Lite and KState) and a game at Jerry World against Tech. The only possible loss is KState IF they can turn around and run the football. I'd be shocked if they didn't give a better effort at Baylor than they did at TCU.
TCU's profile will look better than Baylor because they are getting the pick-up of destroying Minnesota in the non-conference schedule (better than any win Baylor had) and that Baylor's loss at West Virginia is going to hurt. Really the only thing that Baylor has to hang their hat on is winning at home by 3 against TCU (in a game that TCU gifted them) and winning by a bigger margin on the road against an Oklahoma team that is falling apart.
In the end, TCU looks like the better team to me. -
Hopefully the Big 12 is left out all together.
Dreckfest OOC's without a championship game
2 SEC, 1 Pac 12, FSU -
I can't believe whOregon leapfrogged Florida St. They won all their games. Wtf?
-
If Alabama beats Miss State and then both teams win out, both belong. The Pac 12 champ belongs, and FSU belongs if they win out.
People actually believe that Baylor and TCU are good teams? -
The committee liked Oregon's three wins over top 25 teams, two of which were on the road. FSU has two wins over top 25 teams. Not justifying, only giving their reasons.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:I can't believe whOregon leapfrogged Florida St. They won all their games. Wtf?

Any team that doesn't play in a conference championship and has the same record as a conference champion should be left out by default. Play in a conference championship or GTFO. The only exception should be for an undefeated team. A second SEC team deserves to get in over a Baylor or TCU that doesn't play a conference title game.

I wonder if this week's rankings will give some extra impetus to Famous Jameis while he's raping his next victim.

Not if that second team has two lossesoregonblitzkrieg said:Any team that doesn't play in a conference championship and has the same record as a conference champion should be left out by default. Miss. State's OOC is a joke (Herbfag chose to only pick on Baylor's). It's the Memphis School for the Deaf and Dumb x 4. There's no way they should ever get in with two losses over a one loss team. -
Conference championships are overrated. The XII plays nine games.

Valid point.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Conference championships are overrated. The XII plays nine games.

Round-robin like we used to have in the Pac-10.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Conference championships are overrated. The XII plays nine games.

I'm not convinced ASU can't beat Oregon on a neutral field but I've been full blown retarded before

They can play 9 and have a championship game like the Pac 12.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:Conference championships are overrated. The XII plays nine games.

Beat oregon. Nothing else matters.

They're not allowed to have a championship game with 10 teams.RoadDawg55 said:

It's nice to know we have so many fans here who are new since the long forgotten days of the Pac-10 -
I know that is why the Big 12 doent have one. I remember when they did. I didn't know there was an iron clad rule about it needing 12 teams. The Big 12 still sucks and TCU or Baylor will get plungered if they make it.TierbsHsotBoobs said:

The pac 12 sucks. Getting credit for beating a team that wsu beat is awesome.

Baylor and TCU wouldn't get through the PAC 12 losing only one game.RaceBannon said:The pac 12 sucks. Getting credit for beating a team that wsu beat is awesome.

97 legit conference games like the Big 12.
That so many forget the argument about why the PAC was so TUFF a decade ago should be handed their very own gas can, matches, and ladder to climb the fence on the Aurora Bridge.
Take out UW and Cal from the conference and make everybody in the PAC play each other in round robin form ... my guess is that you don't have anybody that makes it through with just 1 loss except for maybe Oregon. Everybody else would end up with 2-3 losses.
I don't think Baylor would get through that with less than 2 losses. TCU I think could. -

The more tough games the better. Sometimes the teams play twice in the other leagues with conference championships.Fire_Marshall_Bill said:

Ohio State is better than any Big 12 team. Michigan State might be better too. The Big 10's middle to bottom dreck makes it the lesser conference, but the Big 10's top 4 are better than the Big 12's. -
Are you going to still hold this opinion when Minnesota beats Ohio State this weekend?RoadDawg55 said:

It's not going to happen, but if Minnesota was at home, they would probably beat West Virginia, a team Baylor lost to and TCU needed a last second FG to beat.Tequilla said:
