PAC12 Passes 4-year Scholarship Guarantees

This puts a HUGE emphasis on player evaluations going forward for all coaching staffs in recruiting. This makes me happy.

Pepsi,
So for those coaches that run players out of the program after 2-3 years because they aren't developing properly, even if those players leave the program, they will count against the 85?

Guaranteed, or not. Either way, it'll be an interesting ride.

Hello secret "not-in-good-standing" squads.

This is so stupid. I have never heard of a school revoking a student's scholarship over playing like crap or injuries. Doing that would have been recruiting suicide. What player would want to go to a school knowing that if they got severely hurt or didn't perform to expectations, their scholarship would be revoked?

Not sure about dat, dat would be a question for Jewd.Tequilla said:Pepsi,

25+25+25+25+25=85 Even at Oregon.greenblood said:This is so stupid. I have never heard of a school revoking a student's scholarship over playing like crap or injuries. I trust your connections better than Jude's

The only scholarships I could see a school taking away would be acquired scholarships from walk-ons. Walk-ons get scholarships pending on availability. If coach needs to make room for another late signee, then yes they might take from the walk-on. However, I remember Lane Kiffin doing that one year, and it got a huge amount of bad press. I just don't think this is very common. Also, Oregon hasn't signed a 25 player class in who knows how long.sarktastic said:

Will the Romar math class be cancelled?

@Tequilla, got the question answered by premium partner Christian Caple. If the player is run off in good standing he will still count against the 85. Sark is fucked.

There should be a Durkee exception clause tho.
There should seriously be an exception for worthless punters and kickers. -
How is "good standing" defined? Is that loophole?
