He could til he realized who his HC is… I’d take Fisch over Riley any day… But SC could double his salary.. Might be the only B10 team to lose their bowel game haha

UW should never consider a head coach who was fired previously with Gilby and Losingham being the shining examples.
BUT, Walters is so good as a DC that he could be worth looking at as a HC again if / when Fisch leaves. He was pretty darn young when he took the Purdue job and I have to imagine Purdue's NIL budget was towards or at the bottom of the B1G. In fact, Purdue struggled badly with roster retention and NIL: star edge Nic Scourton left for Texas A&M and top receiver Deion Burks left for Oklahoma for bigger bags, which gutted the talent base he inherited.

What will probably happen is a school like New Mexico or Fresno State will give him another shot after a bigger school poaches Eck or Entz.

He can go practice head coaching at a Pac12 school to prove himself before he's given the keys here
