    sorry, fucked up one thing here:

    whittingham got pushed out, went to the school president, said 'give me one more year,' got told 'no'

    about a month ago, whit went to leadership and said 'im good, im done,' they were like 'great, youve had a great run,' then he got cold feet and said 'one more year*,' and leadership said 'no takesie backsies.' guess you could still consider that 'pushed out.'

    one other thing to this:

    utah athletics is operating at a $50mm deficit, thats why they took the PE money. that school/fanbase is not prepared for what is going to come at them

    yute NIL was $13mm this year, it all came from the school, been a big struggle with donors, they have the huntsmans and the eccles, old money. eccles is pissed about the new practice facility, his name is on the old one, he's pissed theyre building a new one.

    i also seen some yute saying 'well scalley was getting tired of whit not leaving.' scalley was never going to leave utah, he grew up in slc, played at utah, coached at utah, and was hciw since '20 (but got delayed to a pesky text message in '13, 2020 was weird, man). utah people dont like leaving utah, he would have waited another 5 years for whit to leave to be the HC.

    also seen some blue fans saying 'home run hire!' whit has been available since mid-december, he was their 10th choice, seems awkward. utah is a bubble, utah sports is a bubble, whit has had his way in utah, its not going to be like that at michigan; you have to win 11+ games a year, beat ohio state, win games in the playoff, and win a title. he hasn't had to do that at utah, his teams are very inconsistent year over year, he churns through OCs.

    feels like michigan is about to have their mike riley moment.

    *ute fans were terrified of this, they thought once he lost to byu earlier this year he would be back.

    I was wrong about my off-the-cuff hunch that he wanted to retire and ride his motorcycle. But I feel he will do very well at Michigan. He is not Mr. Hip Hip Hooray! Guy at all. He can do more with more.

    At first, way excited. First thought was to get reengaged here because I have a stake in a big 10 team and be part of the fun again.

    With all the rumblings and rumors Whitt might become enemy #1 in Uteville.

    Even at this age I'm shocked at how naive I can be. I fully expected Whitt to leave Utah players and staff alone. I actually expected a public announcement as such.

    Doesn't look that way, but it's all just rumor. I knew he'd take Jay Hill from BYU and some others. Whit said he will replace 7 or 8 of the 10 current Michigan coaches. Outside of Utah's staff, Whitt doesn't fucking know 7 or 8 coaches so where the fuck are they coming from?

    I'm excited for Scalley to take over. Supposedly Scalley pretty much hired our OC Beck, who by Utah OC standards was a home run hire. We actually scored fucking points this year. Now hearing he's wanted by Michigan. I don't know if Whitt is driving this or if it's Michigan driving it. Naive 89ute expected Whitt to shut down any such idea but clearly he didn't.

    I guess ether way, I'll have a stake in Michigan. I'm going to either love them or hate them with more hellfire and rath than this entire bored has for Orgun.

    If Whitt needs to raid Utah to make a staff when he has Michigan resources, not only will he fail bigly, but it will expose him as a petty little dick bitch. And if he takes a player, oh lord, it's on motherfucker. I highly doubt any Utah player or recruit even got a sniff at a Michigan offer.

    If he has to take from Utah, he clearly is in over his head and does not know how to handle his rig. This shows he does not understand how to utilize the riches laid at his feet.

    They way it's looking, Hill DC and Beck OC.

    Here's a thought, how's this tripple headed Mormon leadership going to play out in Michigan? People already think they have horns, drink blood and do all kinds of weird shit in those temples. Axe Mitt Romney how that turned out.
