I actually trust this staff when it comes to talent evaluations. If they like a kid from Washington more or equal to another from California I'm okay with it. Good size, good speed, works for me.

This staff is doing what PGOS has always said they should do and is taken tons of borderline p4 guys from in state. Look at last recruiting class.
Worst case scenario they transfer or ride the bench. Best case they ball out and you build up rapport with in state coaches.

I think Durr from this year’s class is going to be very good. He was the best player on a historically not very good high school program that took O’Dea to the wire.
DB is a real strength of the 2026 class. Good players. Duncan looks incredible.

Graham Kapowsin beat O'dea week 1. Talent in the state has definitely shifted to unincorporated Pierce County.

Exactly, without an elite DL you don’t get far. E. Davis is our only dude right now, the Parkers won’t play again, Khan has zero PT in 2 years and has been described as JAG from practice reports. Mason, who knows? Relying on DCB, TI and Hill is a risk you don’t see contenders make. You need a Johnny Newton or a Nic Scourton type guy that makes Walters D go from really good to great. Stop playing money ball and get difference makers.

I think Jayvon Parker will play again, he had one injury (Achilles) that takes about 18 months from which to recover so he'll be good for Spring ball. Armon Parker has had so many different injuries that he should just hang it up.
Regardless, I agree with you and our good LBs will have trouble making plays if the DL isn't good and can't keep the OL off of them.
I do think the staff understands they need to focus resources on the DL and will likely get 2 DTs and 1 Edge. One of the DTs won't be that exciting and more of a depth piece but that's ok.
