Stalin posted an article about him going in the portal and the article said he didn’t play in the bowl game.
Reading between the lines, sounds like Butler asked for more money before the bowl game and the staff either said no or tried to counter and Butler said no.

Butler is tough. He's far from irreplaceable but was good and they lose a lot of experience at DT, especially with the Parkers never being able to play. I wonder if he wants to get back closer to home after losing his child last year and figured why not see if he could get enough money from UW to stay, and they won't pay.

I had heard there was a decent chance Anterio Thompson (who was quietly pretty good) could come back. It would make sense. He played at a junior college in 2022 and apparently don't count now? After that, this was his third year of non-JC ball.
I'm not a fan of the guys who shouldn't still be playing college doing it, but our favorite rivals quietly have some really key guys who are deep into their 20s and still playing when they shouldn't be so yet again it's time to lower the bar to compete.

Henning in the portal. Figured he might jump, especially with the dress rehearsal he had at the end of the year. He’s good, maybe better than Landon. Maybe. Lots of talent on the come inside on the OL.

They definitely need 4 new DL.
A strong OT/G for depth - too many OL were getting/playing injured this past year.
A big blocking TE…try to take some TE from the Big 12 or ACC. A good blocking TE will pad Demond's running stats.A decent-sized CB.
Demond could also use a FB - against the good teams. Mohammed seems winded after about 20 plays.
They have like 10 4* WRs and tall Clay and then Pope coming in 2027, so I don't think they need another WR in the portal. They are set at WR, IMO. -

Sucks about Henning. He played better than Hatchett and is not perpetually injured. Gerian coming back will likely push out one of our promising guards as well.

I can’t believe Gerian coming back is anything more than him getting a grad degree and being a mentor/hanging with his brother. Mills, Champ and Paki need to be 1,2,3 in the guard rotation. Maybe have Gerian be the backup center. Between the two brothers maybe we can get a full season.
