Is G. Hatchett coming back to potentially ride the bench though? OTOH, he definitely isn't going pro so might as well make some more cash and perhaps work on a grad degree.

If Boston leaves, they definitely need to go after a good and experienced WR. Relying on who they have now is risky. But that's about it, they don't need to do anything else on O.

I'm not ready to dismiss DeGraaf. Normally, he would have redshirted in 2024, been a backup for a year in 2025, and then competed for starting job as a RS-Soph.

I would have to think G Hatchett comes back as a guy who is expected to be a depth guy. I feel like at this point for the long-term it's time to start a young guy there and make sure he doesn't portal.

I wonder if Puyallup native Dwyer, at TCU now, could be an option there. I am sure there will be more money open with Boston to the NFL.

I would think there is a good chance another local, Dorian Thomas, New Mexico by the way of Arizona and Judd, who had a big year at UNM, comes in at TE.

Who has portaled in over the last two exhibition seasons under Fisch? Anyone of note?

He seems like a 5 year recruit my young guys and make excuses kind of coach not a let's rebuild the roster and win now guy

Mainly because he can and he'll be viciously defended for doing so

Agreed, better to go with Finau or Champ T. at RG.

I'm not sure Dwyer would leave TCU because TCU has oil and gas money.

My guess is that they roll with DeGraaf and use Eldridge and Rhino as more of the blocking guys. If they bring in Thomas, one of the young TEs (Crowell / Simmons) would definitely need to hit the portal.

if UW rolls with what it has and does little in the portal, expect another season like this one, maybe worse

I know the Gronked Up Bowl is dead, but Boise is a nice place to play in December, I hear

Indeed, if they don't get anyone in the portal they’ll be playing in the Sun Biwl again. I think we’re all saying is they could stand Pat on the offensive line as the young players coming up look ready to rumble. What they really need is 2 DE, 2 DL, 1 CB2, 1 TE and 1 big WR. If they dont plug those holes by 1/16, then they may be looking at a repeat of 9-4. If think they’ll fix most of it.

count me among those that believe standing pat on the OL is a bad idea

How would UW finish worse than 9-4 with a ton of young talent returning?

They brought in Willis who was solid. Davis was good when he wasn't a pussy. Alexander and Manu were fucking studs. Lynch and Uigaleiei on the dline were good.

I agree they should bring in better players than those to continue to level up, but this team could go 10-2 just based off more experience and development alone.

Yeah I'm not buying the confidence in the OL either. It seems to be based on projecting improvement from young guys in the system and a true freshman left tackle. The fact that they even have a spot for Hatchet illustrates that the OL is a work in progress
