What evidence is there that Eck cares about coaching at Wiscy?
-
PGOS says so. Must be true.
-
Why wouldn't he? He is a coach on the rise and the school he played at is struggling and likely will be his job
-
UM asked Moore if he was having a relationship with the staffer during last summer.
UM AD is probably out. So UM will have to hire a new AD first, then coach, so I think UM will have to target proven NFL coaches at that late period of a potential hire. -
So your only reason is that he's an alum?
If that logic is ironclad, how do you explain Mora et al?
-
Timing. Eck has another good year, Fickell has another shit year, boom Eck is the Wisconsin coach in 2027. I think this is why Eck is back at UNM in 2026, not because it's "hard to move" as he mentioned. He could easily have gotten another job had he wanted to.
Mora screwed the pooch with his stint at the Seahawks, and the UW admin never seemed to want him. He also was an NFL coach when Tyrone was hired. That soundbite of him wanting to coach UW while head of the Falcons was chinteresting, so maybe it should have been pursued by the AD.
Fast forward, Sark is the coach, Mora is owning him at UCLA. Then he started to suck, and UW rightfully hires Petersen.
I'd take Mora in a heartbeat if Fisch goes to Michigan. He would stay until he retired if he did well.

@PostGameOrangeSlices Not in the same universe as UW.
3 Rose Bowl wins, two against 8-4 shit tier teams. Ty Stanford, UCLA. TCU beat them. 'Nuff said on that.
-
Mora sucks. His golden boy hype in the NFL wasn’t earned. His defenses mostly sucked. Then he failed as a coach. Went to UCLA and had a paper tiger team that lost to Oregon and Stanford every year before relegating to being terrible.
I don’t care what he did at UConn. It’s an irrelevant program that plays nobody.
-
UW is much, much, much closer to Wisconsin than it is to Alabama
-
Wisconsin is like what ASU was in the PAC. Should be a dangerous team most years but never a threat to win the conference. Don't even mean that as a negative but they're not a top tier program like Washington who has only less history than the blue bloods and in the past decade has had more impressive seasons than all but 6 or 8 teams.
PGOS is traumatized by Deboer and needs our patience as he works through his big feelings
