World Cup Thread
The World Cup draw was today and though I’m sure there’s very few soccer fans here, I still wanted to post this for myself to talk to myself.
US lucked out with a decent group. Paraguay, Australia, and the winner of Turkey/Romania/Slovankia or Kosovo.
The US should win their group which would be a big deal, all things considered.
Bought tickets last night for TOF, the heathens, and I to attend the game in Seattle vs Australia. That was a painful buy.
As we get closer I’ll be sure to find out where everyone’s favorite glory holes are so we can “meat up”.

Soccer is finally growing in America and hosting the World Cup will be different than it was in 1994.
However, Cowherd and his sidekick were saying that the ratings would dwarf the NFL

Not a fan but I did enjoy the 2014 or 15 cup because I was working in So Cal with my smoking hot Latina sisters so I pretended to root for Mexico
Mexico actually got ripped off that year
Any sport at the highest level of championship is interesting but as you may expect I still think its gay

as the broadcast superiority guy, I can attest the fact that NFL numbers are through the roof this year. One game that I think could do well would be the World Cup final

I'll watch a little WC action. The games can get damn boring when neither team has any urgency to score. I usually just wait for the wrapup highlight shows.
Soccer is no competition for football or baseball for me, but I like it. Everyone should. Those guys are really fucking good at it, even if what "it" is looks like some sort of pointless fairy dance most of the time.

Looks like it’s going to be a comedy show up in Seattle…wouldn’t surprise me if they rigged it this way just for the entertainment.
Have tickets…including to the England-Croatia game which is probably the one great first round game. With 48 teams it kinda blows though compared to previous iterations. Kinda like the college football playoffs…let too many teams in and the first round is a bunch of shite games.

did you get any tickets to the US games? Lotto or resell? I had to get 6 through the resell and thank God I’ve been saving since they announced the WC in the US because I needed every penny of it.

No…2 games each in Houston, Dallas and KC. May pickup some knockout rounds but depending on my kids I may have to be in LA and Virginia for their stuff…
