If Jedd gives up playcalling duties, is that show of humility enough to get you on board?

Hell yeah
You would know @chuck being an M’s fan and all

He probably has aspirations of coaching a blue blood or in the NFL, but he wouldn’t be recruiting if he didn’t want to succeed at UW. I don’t think our struggle are for a lack of effort. I know you didn’t say that, but the players and recruits don’t seem to think he doesn’t want to be here.
Other than Sark, coaches leaving UW means they have won. I think we will be quite a bit better next year. Hopefully that is at least a playoff appearance.
UW is a really good job. It’s a job a coach can win at without crazy pressure. The money is there if you win. -
I'd love for him to give up play calling and hire Jonathan Smith but don't see any chance of that happening, at least for the 2026 season. I strongly suspect that he wants to be an NFL HC and a lot more NFL coaches call their own plays (such as Mike Macdonald of the Hawks).

Trying to envision a scenario besides a natty where an NFL team would want to hire Jedd as HC....

Hell yeah
His best option out is to rebuild UW into a consistent playoff contender, stay 6 years, recruit in the top 10-20 then leave to coach the Dolphins or Jags or some other shitty NFL team in a warm climate

This board is obsessed with retreads. Mora, Tedford, and now Smith recommended for the head coach and OC jobs.
There are many other coaches out there. There are way better OC’s than Smith.

Mora is not like Tedford and Smith, otherwise SarkSure.gif

Fuck no
the love for Smith is fucking weird

I don't love him but think he's a good OC. He isn't a good recruiter and Jimmy Daugherty is undoubtedly better there.

why is he a good OC?
Literally nothing about his offenses have impressed me. UW was stuck in mud just as bad with him under Petersen against good teams as they are now with Jedd.
