A duck fan, whose football history doesn't extend beyond 1994 wouldn't know,-)
I wasn't referencing history. I don't see CSU as a promotion more than a way to get to something much more comfortable, which all the more power to him if that's what he was looking for. I see LSU as a lateral move as well.

We? hired a coach from Arizona. Basically the same thing.

If Jedd leaves then we swoop Mora from Colorado State and see how it goes

What make you think he'd take the job?

You can make an argument that Eck is a better game day coach compared to Fisch … not sure that I agree but it's at least a discussion
The big question about Eck is can he put together a roster that is competitive
Player acquisition matters and that's the big gap that Eck is a complete unknown on

This got me to deep dive into Eck going season by season. Have to think he's a much better gamed day coach than Fish. He was really good at Idaho against FBS teams, including last year's Oregon team, and from my memory Idaho had been a hole for a long time in games like that. He has barely ever been blown out as a HC and played Michigan tough in Ann Arbor in his first game at New Mexico.
I agree roster management/acquisition is different at a Big 10 team with high expectations. Seems like a good developer. Good ID on the Zona portal TE from Kent who tore up Michigan.

Fisch is a mediocre play caller. The only explosive offenses he had were at Arizona and that’s debatable whether they were that good.
They scored a lot of points his last two years at Arizona but the offense has been underwhelming here. I wish someone else called the plays but that’s not happening.
I still think there will be considerable improvement next year with a more mature Demond and the OL.

Fish got a lot of mileage out of Fifita-to-McMillan

LSU is a top job in the nation, period. Saying otherwise is pure idiocy.

so messy, though.
also, LSU is gonna be paying half the school’s endowment to cover Brian Kelly’s buyout.
