Claude will be back for the Southern game. Nitu 6’ 11” is an interesting case, he’s a long range bomber and doesn’t really mix it up in the paint, offensively/defensively. Sommerville and Steinbach really haven’t clicked together yet, Steinbach rolled both ankles last night. Said he couldn’t limp anymore cuz both were sore. Franck gave some good minutes. I bet when Claude comes back, Mandaquit’s minutes fall, he’s a liability on the defensive side, got picked on a lot last night. Just not strong enough yet to play that much. UW gets healthy in January, Ognacevic will be a huge help down low

Of the little I've seen, I dont like the offensive scheme. It seems very stagnant with almost no intent. The talent seems to be there. Who knows?

What a game from the Dawgs tonight. Easily could have rolled over and lost. No Steinbach, Claude back but zero conditioning still played a ton and payed for it. Hope the rest will do him some good. 2 OT cooker win.

color me unimpressed

It’s basically preseason and 85% new players and they will take time to jell. Last year they lose this game and the experience and OT will likely help them grow as a team.

Last night was brutal. Zero offensive flow, so many defensive lapses. Looking disinterested and lazy at times. Very frustrating. That said, down two projected starters and Bryson Tucker who brings elite athleticism and pretty good effort and Diallo who fouled out in only 16 minutes, these dawgs didn’t lie down and roll over. They fought back from 12 down in the second half to force overtime. Claude was only supposed to play 20 minutes, he played 33 and was fantastic as he fought through cramps. Peterson played 50 MINUTES!! Went coast to coast to force the second overtime after the game seemed all but over just 90 seconds before his game tying basket. Give the boys credit for fighting through injuries and apathy. None of the teams outside of maybe 2017 fight back to win last night. This MASH unit did. Say what you want about the opponent, this was a gritty, gutsy win.

The problem with college hoops is that 85% of players are new every year now and nobody knows who's on the team from year to year. I don't know anyone who actually watches college hoops anymore.
