Hardcore Husky Podcast: The Fisch Era has jumped the Shark
This episode gets down and dirty and pulls no punches in the wake of the Madison debacle. If you're a Husky fan looking for quality insight it's a great show. If you're looking for a fun shot in the arm this probably isn't the episode for you.
Of note, there were multiple technical issues during the editing process including the editing software being unable to connect with the internet. So rather than take two days to get this published and posted. we're running it Sunday unedited and as a bare-bones episode with no Pup cold open. @SweatpantsGeneral had also produced a voice message segment but of course Murphy's Law we're not able to run it.

The show should post any moment now
-
- You missed the opportunity to name this "The Fisch Era Has Jumped the Sark."
- Was Happy Days ever a good show? Wasn't The Fonz like 5'4 and 34 years old?
-
I did name it The Fisch Era has jumped the Shark

Read what I wrote again and think about the last word.

Plagiarism my shit, fucko?!

Good pod, pods. Although a Pup rant intro was missed as was the closing remarks by the girl who says "Swayne's wigwerm".
-
Haven't listened yet but hopefully somebody mentioned the pattern of coaching staffs claiming that they're an NFL developmental program and then getting coached in circles on offense especially.
Never works out unless 90%+ of your starters have multiple years in your program, together.

We hammered the "Be a Pro" bullshit. Though it was mostly me but Woolley and Joey both agree to a lesser extent
-
Not enough emotion about the 51 yard field goal attempt in sideways rain and gale-force winds while also suffering from full-blown AIDS rather than punting the fucking ball.
Otherwise, a solid, unabashed effort.

good pod

Denzel Boston thinks he’s Willis Reed, not Walt Frazier. Fisch can take him too.
-
Paul Pierce went out in a wheelchair because he pooped his pants.

"be a pro" was last year we had coordinators who were the coaches sons of 2 of the greatest coaches of all time, and they're dads came around for social media pictures in the spring and we ate it up. "Do you think Bill and Steve are getting together drawing up defensive schemes for this week?". We even gave Bill an office. It was on the nose. In hindsight it not being changed after they left shows the disinterest.

Jumped the Sark.

Thanks. It even sounded wrong when I said it

Too much finesse from Fisch. These lines aren't good enough…they're getting pushed around.
His late offensive scoring starts suggest that the offense is not prepared enough for what to expect from the other team's defense enough.
The OL was the worst part of yesterday's game. They were pushed back too far every play. He needs to buy 2-3 OLs in the portal for next year.
Demond was panicking too much. He needs better outlets when things are breaking down in the offense. Otherwise Fisch's offense scores ZERO TDs. His deep balls were horrible yesterday.Maybe add more 2-3 flea-flicker type style runs and passes a game for Demond???
Fisch needs to hire a real DL assistant coach who can recruit. Fisch needs to buy 2 legit DTs and 2 DEs in the portal. The lack of depth is obvious on the DL. Otherwise, expect 7-5 to 8-4 every year.
Demond absolutely needs to learn to do some pooch punts…it worked great when Browning used to do it. The punting is terrible. More pooch punts near midfield from the UW QBs. Every UW QB should be able to do that at least a handful of times a year. -
Use Mohammed and Coleman in more dual sets, because Mohammed can thump would-be tacklers very hard.
Use Mohammed or a TE as a FB more often..line them up as a WR that motions inside to block for Coleman..because Coleman is not escaping the first and second tacklers right now. -
He’s a good player that I would be happy to have on any Husky team. Stuff like this is nonsense.
-
The problem with the team is 100% offensive coaching.
No roster is perfect. But a shit ton of coaches at the FCS/FBS level can put up a lot more than 23 points in 3 games with our roster.

We also see that when things are going well, we are pretty good. Williams is a good QB, albeit the turnovers on the road being inexcusable. There is enough to at least have respectable outcomes where we score 20+ on anyone. To not do so is pathetic.
