I’m sure he’d leave to Florida or UCLA if the terms of the contract and institutional support were all in line with him having an easier path to wining than he’s getting at UW. That said, he’s absolutely got to say stuff like this. Boner did the same thing and his contract offer got bigger and bigger and bigger the more he won. Judd has to keep winning for this to happen but if he wins the next three, his market value will never be higher. If the Dwags go into Oregon week 9-2 he’ll sign with UW for 9 million per year. He can then say how he never looked at other jobs, that UW has everything he needs, how much he loves Chum, UW and Seattle. Chum will have to make that deal lest he look like Dannon holding his dick as another coach walks out the door. On the flip side if Chum makes a deal like this before Judd has sealed the deal on 9-2 then he’s jumping the gun. Big three weeks coming up for all parties involved.

As I said to HB, that's not the point. All three of those guys care deeply about winning. The only possible caveat is the rumors that Chip got lazy after getting big money. But I'm not sure if that's true. It's possible that people caught up to his innovations and it leveled the playing field against him.

I don’t think Jedd is going to leave this year. UCLA just isn’t a good enough job, I don’t think Florida gets down to him on their list, LSU isn’t going to hire him and possibly doesn’t even know he exists, Auburn fans might burn the place down if they hire another coach from the PNW. He probbaly wouldn’t have left Arizona when he did if that place wasn’t such an institutional dumpster fire and couldn’t get him a new contract.

Say whatever you want about Dannan but that hire was all about shifting away from the stank of Jen and the underlying rot of the AD
