Some of you only post here and wouldn't have heard this bad news
Derek posted on the football board that PAWZ has passed away. I never met him but know I would have liked him. He was smart and kind (a better man than me). I loved his political takes and enjoyed conversing with him about poker and the Huskies back when we cared more. RIP PAWZ!

I'm so sorry to hear this news

I’m sorry what?
is this real? -
Yes, unfortunately it is. He announced about a year ago he was going to take some time off to deal with health issues. But then he came back and I thought all was fine. He was only 47 I think.

He asked for help earlier in the season to find a stream to watch one of our games. He found the game and took a photo of the large TV mounted in his hospital room and ran the stream from his laptop in the photo.
Just proves how deep Husky Football runs in our blood, die hards. With everything he had going on, finding the game that day was obviously very important. It’s great he was able to watch a few games and escape his circumstances even if it were only a few second/minutes at a time each Saturday. I believe the game he watched that day in the hospital was at Maryland.I wished him T’s & P’s and he responded; I assumed he was on the mend as I had no idea he was dealing with cancer. Prayers to his wife and kids (family)! RIP @pawz 🙏🏻

I am sorry to hear this news and a lot regretful for razzing him not knowing of where he was in his life. I do send my best to his family.

I didn’t even know he was sick.
RIP

RIP paws
His watching from his situation reminds me of:
Football is not a matter of life and death. I can assure you that it is far more important than that.
