People forget Saint DeBoer didn't have a do an insane amount of transfer portal work to get that roster in place. And BPE was a very unique transfer type scenario.

Was just chatting with some family last night (all very long time Cal fans & donors) and they seem perfectly content with Wilcox. 🤷♂️
Their main complaint is not playing any of the old rivals anymore (PAC 8/10 basically).
I agree with them.
My excitement about upcoming matches with Illinois, Wiscy & Purdue is quite low. As in .. don't even give a F

Why in the hell would any NFL coach even peek at college football right now. Even when McDaniel gets canned, he’ll walk away with a shit ton of cash and make a nice OC for a team like the Texans.
College football head coach is a much harder job than an NFL head coach. Belichick is learning that right now.

Jedd is only down here because he failed at the NFL thing. College is more annoying than it is harder. Patricia and Martindale are considered good DC’s in college, it’s not harder.
