My random ass fandom
With me showing up to Byrd SECU Stadium this weekend to watch our DAWGS play (the 4th quarter), I realized just how random the stadiums I've seen the Huskies play in are, besides Husky Stadium of course.
Qualcomm/Jack Murphy Stadium (RIP) for the 99 Holiday Bowl
Michigan Stadium
SHI Stadium (Rutgers, who knows what it was named in 18?)
The Georgia Dome
The Mercedes Benz Dome
The Superdome
NRG Stadium (fuck you DeBoer)
Beaver Stadium
SECU Stadium
No Pac-12 road games or games in whatever the Seahawks call their stadium. No Rose, Fiesta or west coast bowl games. 6 games which were the only one we've ever played at the facility and 2 stadiums which don't exist anymore.
I guess this is the east coast lyfe as a DWAG fan. CSB

My resume is fairly crappy…
Qualcomm/Jack Murphy Stadium (RIP) for the 96 Holiday Bowl courtesy of Bab's treating the row peter puffer team
Autzen in 2002 to smoke weed and talk shit with @RaceBannon and Stan Empertmen. My only Pac road game.
4 or 5 games in the Clink in 2012 (that place is twash as fuck)
2016 Peach Bowl in the Old Georgia Dome
2018 Season Rose Bowl (Jan 1 2019)
-
Every UW road game I've attended has been a loss.
- Autzen once. One of the Sark-era "it was close at halftime games." I had to refresh myself on the year and found some real gems for quotes from that one:
- "In the first half, when we were fresh and they were fresh, we outplayed them. But they wore us down." - Steve Sarkisian
- "A loss is a loss, but even though w didn't get the win I guarantee they respected us." - Chris Polk
- "Their fans were actually complimenting us on playing a great game." - Cort Dennison
- NRG for the natty. Shitty stadium and a shitty game in a shitty city.
- Martin Stadium. Loss to Cuog. I recall Craig Chambers having another big game after he broke out bs Cal and thinking he was the next star WR. Thanks, Ty!
- Tempe to watch Sark get blown out. This was also the day when I found out from an actual media source that USC was going to hire Sarkisian (which happened maybe 6 weeks later).

- USC / Coliseum - Multiple. I was barking for sark. Mostly thanking kiffin for not running the ball. Saw a lot of losses there.
- Utah - 2-0
- Rose Bowl - 0-3 (one to Ohio State - should have given MMFG the ball more) (also phantom holding call on touchdown throw to String?)
- Cal '16 (John Ross is gonna score)
- ASU - witnessed possibly the last Sun Devil voodoo game in '22
- CU '17 - Shitty raining Boulder, but pick 6 and great touchdown catch by one of the super skinny WR of the period
- Rutgers '17 - Got into it a little with a Long Island goon about wearing my dawg hat in the 9/11 museum. I Warriors to Orphans him and kept wearing my hat.
- Indiana '24 - One of maybe 81 Dwags there.
- BYU '97 - Rashaan Sheehee for Heisman
- Boise State - Petersen's return. Dante PR Touchdown #1

NOC about the froogs, Pal!!

bleachanus and wilder Nrg/Houston takes are 💯% accurate.
Hated the stadium, hated Houston, and debonner can play in traffic for making my $5k ginger and me experience rather forgettable.
-
Only added it to add in the incremental stadiums
Go back to your peter puffer row boat shit
-
Only thing I'll say about Houston is that my family has a place on the Gulf about an hour South of NRG so it made the trip very doable for a number of reasons …
That said, every statement about Houston on the whole is 100% accurate
Fucking shit city
Fucking shit traffic
Stadium is a full blown meh
The weather the day of the game was bi-polar as fuck
-
All of the Pac Ten stadiums.
Not Colorado or Utah.
Aloha Bowl (three times), Oahu Bowl and vs Hawaii regular season - all At Aloha Stadium.
Vegas. Forever P12 Championship.
Rose Bowl (2x) vs B1G (not ucla) circa DJ
State College white out. Great Atmosphere. Worst game I've ever attended. (and, yes, I was a 2008 season ticket holder.)
-
I forgot I was at Colorado in 90
-
WSU 3x, Oregon 3x, Stanford, USC 3x, UCLA 2x, Notre Dame, LSU, Illinois (Soldier Field), Michigan, NRG, and Indiana.
Mix of good and bad memories, probably the best on the road is being in the Coliseum for each of the last three games we beat USC (2010, 2015, and 2023). But I'm poison in Eugene. Favorite home games are 2009 against USC and 2023 UO. Should have gone to the last P12 championship or Sugar Bowl instead of Houston.
-
Husky Stadium
Arizona Stadium 8 or 9 times
Slum Devil Stadium for the Cactus Motel 666 Copper Bowl versus Okie State (it's usually at Chase Field, I honestly don't know or care what corporate sponsor it has now). Coldest game I've ever attended. It officially was in the 40s, but it was really in the high 30s and yes, I am used to the 60s that time of year.
Overpriced insurance stadium (where the Cardinals play) for Fiesta Bowl versus State Penn
Basketball:
Heck Ed
Wherever the Beavers play. Gill Coliseum?
McKale a couple times

Whoever said in another thread that we aren't big time or whatever can toss the fuck off. Was not at the games the last couple years.

Think that's it. Looking at this list, I hope so

Santa Clara the only good thing was that you were drinking in the row of restaurants in front of the Shark Tank.
For the 2018 game it was funny that the main 🦈 bar replayed all of the UW vs Utah games in front of 90% their fans (including our road win in SLC that year). Then they traveled with me to Santa Clara stadium and watched maybe the most horrifying championship game outcome. For them.
-
That's awesome. That makes me want to fly up to Wisconsin.
-
Only 3 for me
Pullman 2008 for 0-11 on the way to 0-12
Reser for the Nick Montana fiasco
2023 USC made up for it. Time of my life. -
Oregon 4:
The land fill - It really is a dump. Hopefully unca fil dumps a billion into it.
Parker - I like to call it that. One CW the Duck and Beaver mascots swapped heads. Hilarious.
Hillsboro Stadium and PGE Park or whatever it is these days for Portland State games.
Texas 4:DKR - They lost to Kansas. Wine and cheese indeed.
Alamo - Yawn, but I like the city. The River Walk is not a river, it's a shopping mall.
Jerry World - Fucking YAWN. Cavernous, soulless, you stare at the fucking screen while you're at the gdamn game. Fuck Mario Cristobal, and fuck Justin Herbert.
Whatever Houston's is - Ate a pot donut beforehand. Chocolate frosting. Good donut. Old black lady made it. Good donut.
Washington 2:
Martin - Shittiest motel I ever stayed in was in Pullman. I think I still have a rash.
Husky stadium - With a dumbass track. Fuck Corey Dillon.
California 2:Tightwad Hill - Trash fucking everywhere and super sketchy homeless people.
The Farm - Pre reno/downsize. Campus is a straight up fortified enclave yet all you have to do to get in is Heil Hitler TITTT.
Arizona 1:
Old SDS - Wasn't old enough to drink, but the walk was great. Such talent.

I'd like to do more and plan to do more. I haven't had a bad road trip to go watch Washington play. They've all been fun and worthwhile, even in a loss.NRG - I get what you're saying about Houston. It's a weird city. It does have some pretty strong redeeming qualities. My family could never put up with the weather w/o the beach life to go with it. Classic "everything I hate about Florida and nothing I love about Florida" place. But it is a big, sophisticated city with all the amenities, world class health care, the arts, education, etc. Plus, you can live like a King down there for literally a fraction of what it costs to live in Seattle.
That said, just flew in from a week in the city by the bay and as cool as that place is I still love getting off the plane at SeaTac and knowing this is home. People can talk all the shit they want, this place is still the tits for me. -
I also forgot the Orange Bowl
The original stadium
-
My list isn’t impressive, but I’ve seen some great games.
2002 Apple Cup in Pullman
70-21 in Autzen 2016
Pac12 championship game in Levi’s stadium 2016
Plungering Colorado in Boulder and sodomizing their buffalo statue in 2017
Sad Natty broke my perfect record in road games
I went to most of the games played at the Clink while Husky stadium was being remodeled, but that’s nothing special
-
How do you forget that one and remember Qualcom?
Come on old man. How dare you!
-
Forgot NRG Stadium in Houston.
Other college stadiums I've seen / been in for games or just for the sake of being in them:
- Miami Hard Rock (Baseball and Football)
- Miami Orange Bowl - Just the exterior just before the wrecking ball came coming.
- Cotton Bowl (inside)
- SMU (inside)
- Cincinatti (inside - you can basically drive through it)
- WVU (inside)
- CSU (inside)
- Texas A&M (Exterior)
I'm drawing a blank. BTW if you do make the Indiana trip, definitely stop at the Indy 500. TV does that place no justice on size and scope.
- Miami Hard Rock (Baseball and Football)
