Pretty sure I heard one of the announcers say that it looked like Maryland's D got past our OL so many times in the first half, that they were all worn out by the second half.

But I like to think we just made better halftime adjustments.

Stalin posted a Maryland post game video and the guy getting kicked out was one of the first things they mentioned.

Durfee has never done anything, but our media and a good portion of fans constantly act like he is a huge loss.

Feels like they are really toning down how often and what gets called targeting these days but agreed with the announcers that both guys who hit Demond on that play were in question for it and in the Pac-12 both would have been tossed. I also agree with the point that the guys might have been so greased in the first half and may have run out as the game went on.

Other than Ohio State, the staff has seemed to adjust in the second half well and the team turn things on in the 4th quarter, which is encouraging.

A lot of over thinking around here. First half Demond did what he did against Ohio State and stared blankly down the field as his receivers ran open and his own running late collapsed. Second half he pulled the trigger (let it rip) a beat sooner and was playing on his front foot.

I wanted to fire Fisch until I rewatched the game and realized good or bad our season shockingly goes as Demond does.

Defense capitalized in the 4th but it was largely thanks to the Derps playing not to lose

The mental aspect of football / sports has always interested me and since Demond hardly ever throws interceptions, his INT on the first drive may have rattled him some. He's just a true soph and prides himself on taking care of the ball so I'm glad he was able to bounce back.

Also, the staff may have reminded him that a TE is a QBs best friend while dialing up more plays for DeGraaf.

Against Rutgers, I'd like to see Moore help McCree in pass pro and then have a delayed release as a 3rd read with DeGraaf lined out in the slot.

A little bit of both. Locksley commented after the game they have no depth. Freshman DE’s that looked pretty good came in and started right away. That happens when you don’t have any depth.

We also went faster in the 2nd half because we needed to. We were down big.

Demond threw a pick 6 to start the bowl game and still crushed it so that’s twice he’s proven that he can bounce back. Good shit.👌👌

I watched the game when I got home and Demond wasn’t necessarily hesitant n the first half he was just off. Penix had halves like that sometimes. I counted four wide open first down throws in the first three drives he just missed badly in the first half including the interception. If he makes those and the Huskies could have stayed on the field a little more the score at half could have been even lower. Like 10-7 or 10-3. Hell, he hits those throws and there’s a universe where UW is tied or leads 14-10. I do think the misses weighed on him the last couple drives of the first half when he didn’t throw the ball on time and took some big hits. The windows were tight against OSU, they weren’t really that tight on Saturday.

I think the injury thing is overthinking it by me but that's what we're here for. My doog take is that it may have been a good sign that the team had a hangover from Ohio State. Tells me they expected to win that game and played hard. I also wonder if Demond needed some time to adjust from playing a defense of that level. They didn't need to push and force the way they did to compete and he could excel with his legs when needed against a defense like Maryland in a way he couldn't against Ohio State.
