Yeah, I have a buddy that belongs there, played in their member guest this year. Not a huge fan of the course itself just design wise as it’s insanely penalizing on the edges, any ball that is borderline is gone. But they have a pretty laid back and cool membership.
Aldara would be the other one on the Eastside that is top notch. The two Bellevue ones are okay but way overpriced.

In my teens and 20s my dad and I played Tall Chief a couple times a year. It was there on a par five that I was putting for eagle but ended up eleven putting. I told the story years later just as my dad's dementia was becoming evident, and he said "Son, that story sounds like a load of bullshit."
It was also there in the early 90s that a couple of women were playing ahead of us, and my dad was at the tee box and waiting for them to get out of earshot before he cut loose with a cannon fart. I was howling, and he said "making fun of your old man, huh?" Then he took a practice swing while I continued to laugh. He turned back to me and said, "Okay son, that'll be enough. Thank you."

I thought Seattle Golf Club and Broadmoor were supposed to be good courses. Or is it more just about being a member at either than actually playing?

They are both very nice, definitely on the easier side. SGC is probably like $200k+ to join and that’s if you have a in with someone on the Illuminati board. Broadmoor and Sand Point are probably less than that but still probably double what Sahalee and Aldara are to join (which are both vastly superior courses to any of the Seattle private clubs).
