THE RYDER CUP 2025

US only has one dog and he’s probably like their 6th best player. Europe has like 3-4 dogs and they are their best players.
-
if we had 12 Cam Youngs, Europe would be dead already
-
It’s over.
-
Morikowa should have been left on the tarmac
Props to Europe. We called it. Football time
-
The Euro’s simple care more and it’s obvious. Beating Americans in anything other than men’s soccer is a big feather in their cap and they’ve been mostly kicking our ass for years. They need a serious reboot similar to Men’s team USA in basketball 15+ years ago. Go DaWgs

-
Kobe ain’t walking through that door any time soon.
-
-
Just need to win 10 of 12 to bring it home
I ended up watching 4 balls to see if the miracle comeback would happen. Europe just played sensational. The US didn't even play that bad but Europe made every putt and stuck every wedge and was just relentless
It's sports so Bradley is no longer a great pick for captain and is actually the worst captain since forever
Didn't have a lot to work with. Morikowa and Xander in particular. Scottie first ever to go 0-4
Maybe we'll see a fight today
-
Rose walking in that 10 footer was awesome.
-

Fuck it got way tighter than expected. Euros had like half the board when I left for an hour or two and when I turned it back on was shocking. Good fight from the boys today. Euros just played great Friday and Saturday.
-
Piss on the moral victories! Unacceptable being down that much heading into singles. Someone needs to explain to me how the euros dominate the team events every single Ryder cup it seems.
And shortening the rough and softening the greens certainly played away from Scottie’s strengths who coincidentally went 1-4 over the week. Which genius decided that? -
Europes top guys play every team format match and deliver. The US’s top guys don’t deliver in those formats. This wasn’t just a this year problem. Then the US wins singles but it’s too late. Europe wants it more.
-
Quite a finish. If Don Henley doesn't come up short on 17 and 18 then the last two matches are butt clenching for Europe. Good comeback. Bryson and Scottie are individuals not team guys. A story as old as time
4 years until they get another shot because they aren't winning in Ireland. Beat up the International squad a couple times while waiting
I thought the crowd was over rated and did more good for Europe than harm. Rory is a different player with guys like Lowry or Fleetwood having his back. Didn't see Rory jack pull a wedge all week like he does in tournaments. They used the crowd as fuel
It does mean more to Europe. Yesterday was the American individuals not wanting to be embarrassed. So they played
-
Maybe I'll watch it one of these years

The US guys are there to party. That’s pretty evident how slowly they got out of the gates.
-
They are also there to have meet and greets with their sponsors. The US won at home in 2016 and 2021 going away with all time rosters and a Europe team that was vastly overmatched. They thought the home turf would carry them.
Best Europe team in awhile, and they’ll probably again have 10 or so of the same guys in 2027.
-
The US team NEVER wins in Europe and the European guys win on American soil roughly 50% of the time. Given how popular this event is becoming its time for the US guys and the USGA to take this event as seriously as their Euro counterparts do.
-
PGA of America owns the event and it’s basically their entire funding mechanism. That fact structures everything. They are a terrible organization. There is going to be a push for the PGA Tour to take it over. Not that they are much better.
Hunter Mahen is a good wildcard choice as next captain. He does Sky sports commentary and clearly knows his shot.
-
Errr PGA of America, thanks. Maybe they need to introduce tour events with more team play formats with fourball and foursome formats to prep for those team events.
-
The PGA championship should go back to matchplay. They won’t because of the TV product and they completely fear a runaway on Sunday. The Olympics should definitely have a 2 man matchplay medal event.
-
I think thats a great idea for the PGA Championship and would give its own flavor. Right now, it's like the US Open lite and the most boring of the four majors.
-
I've always liked this read, which Golf.com posts every Monday.
Tour Confidential: How did Europe pull off a stunning road Ryder Cup victory?
-
Imagine being stunned by this result.
-
What's the whining about with regards to substitutions and injuries? The article I read made no sense. Europe got to pick who the US could NOT use in a match?
-
The US got to pick who they sat out.
-
The whining about that Hovland injury is that Europe was automatically awarded 1/2 a point for that match for a tie.
At the time they already had 11 1/2 points banked and needed 14 to win. Giving Europe that 1/2point without a match being contested pushed them closer to that 14 points. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time, but the US team came dangerously close to making it an issue yesterday.
-
That's a dumb rule. That should be a 1 point forfeit to the US, not a way to earn (half) points without playing.
