Magic numbers

I need someone who’s more autistic than me to help me out.

Now that the M’s clinched their division, what are the magic numbers to clinch the 2 seed and the 1 seed?

I’ve seen the 2 seed number as 1 game or 2 games but have no idea what’s accurate.

The # is 1 to clinch the second seed. I had it wrong in a post I made the other night.

They arent in control for the #1 seed. NY and Toronto are both ahead of Seattle, so whoever ends up winning the East will most likely be #1.

From what I can see, Seattle lost the head-to-head against both Toronto and NYY so they'd need to finish one game ahead of each to get the #1 seed. 1 back of both right now so both teams would need to go 2 - 2 or worse for the Mariners to have any chance. Even then, the M's would need to win out and they have three coming up against the Dodgers. 1 - 3 finishes by both teams and the M's could go 3 - 1. And so on….

Toronto closes with one against Boston and three against Tampa. Tampa has kicked their ass this year.

NYY closes with the White Sox and Orioles. Both are not good.

M's lost and NYY and Toronto won so the #1 spot is next to impossible to get at this point.
