Really really really really hoping Tacario isn't a McMillan situation. Prysock was really bad as a CB1 last year but good be a good CB2 and everything below them is AIDs right now unless Robinson is a McDuffie type (he could be - no Doog).
Would also be excruciating to have lost Tacario making a meaningless pick against Big Sky team. We probably lost our WR who is somewhere between 2-4 our only decent LB and got our most talented defensive player day to day playing three meaningless games. Cool.
-
Tacario warmed up last week so hopefully he is fine

Who was the last young QB for a decent team to come into Husky Stadium and meltdown - Dorsey? I'm beginning to wonder if this is dated thinking. QBs come in much more polished to college football these days and offenses are better suited to make things easy for them. What I've watched of Sayin he just stands there with protection until the best WR and possibly the second best WR in college football get open - oh and he has a great TE.
Also, when Dorsey was in Seattle we had legit murderers and schizophrenic badasses on our defense. Our current defense was just shitting their pants against a guy named Zevi who did the Happy Gilmore down 7-21.

Want to talk football

so dumb that it’s on b10 net. That’s maybe the best big ten game of that week and we get big noon in Ann Arbor for dead coach walking Luke fickell’s final game and a Penn state 35 point win at ucla for the cbs game.
-
Sure.gif
When was the last QB to come into Husky Stadium and win when UW had a pulse?
So excluding the Lake debacles of 2021 (where we put up 7 on an FCS team instead of 70) and 2020, it would need to be sometime in 2019 when Petersen had quit on the team.
Is Sayin the QB to do that? I dont think so
-
Probably Darnold and Herbert.
-
Huh? CSU's hyphen QB looked like a world beater against us and has since struggled against Northern Colorado and UTSA. 2023 we could have fucking lost to walk ons for ASU and Utah and 3rd and 18 still felt like might as well just give them 18 yards because that's better than the 28 they're gonna get. Judd and de Laura eviscerated us in 2022.
-
Tommy Maddux wasn't scared. Aaron Corpse was
Kwat has stopped Smith twice and held Ohio State down by doing Kwat things
2 deep everything in front make them go 12 plays then lose in the 4th quarter
The formula
-
In my time when at home we've been able to either beat or take a team much better than us down to the wire in Husky Stadium they're had absolute disaster QBs or guys playing because of injury who probably would have sucked on any field.
2012 Stanford - Josh Nunes- they became a Top 5 team once they benched him Hogan.
2009 USC - Aaron Corpse because Barkley was injured
2007 USC - we didn't beat them but close and Booty was starting who was possibly a Sayin comparison as just a guy
-
No he didnt. He threw for less than 200 yards and 90% of those were in the first half
Also, answer the fucking question. None of those teams won.
-
Good lord PGOS. No they did not win. They also were not surrounded by what Ohio State has at every other position. We've barely played teams comparable to this Ohio State team in recent history. If Sayin plays like any of those QBs I mentioned we're gonna get fucking rolled big time.
-
Why are you so high on this Ohio State team? They lost a significant amount of pieces from last year and their QB is making his first ever road start.
Im not saying they aren't good, because they are, but UW played Penn State and Oregon last year, two quarterfinal and semifinal teams with insanely experienced QBs.
This ain't last years Ohio State, UW has a great offense, and UW is at home. It's easy to be optimistic.
-
I'd love to Doog, PGOS, but Ohio State has had approximately one team in the past 20 years that wasn't capable of winning a national title in the last 20 years and that was in the weird Tressell transition. Sure, they've lost games to teams over the years, but almost exclusively to national title caliber teams, which UW almost assuredly is not.
The day's of not last year's team with the handful of the top teams isn't really a thing anymore (without coaching changes) with the portal and how much better players are now coming out of high school. This isn't the 90s where you actually have to fully replace players with guys who aren't ready.
Not saying it won't happen, but I'm just pessimistic .
-
Ohio State is the worst #1 of my life tim
Jedd the barracuda Fisch has 27 years of experience and will do anything to win the game
-
Exactly. This year is wide open.
-
-
We? beat Michigan last year. Michigan beat Ohio State last year.
I’m pessimistic too but it’s not like it’s impossible.
-
Okay Boyz. If we are who I think we might be and Ohio State is who I think they might be, I think we have a shot. Sayin has some of the worst aura I've ever seen for a big time college QB. Like a chubby faced Chalamet with a borderline Prince Valiant haircut.
Also, could we be reminded that Day is a boob again who we forgot because he won a title last year simply because he had a roster that was way more talented than everyone else?
-
He also had a 5th or 6th year transfer QB in Will Howard who was battle tested
-
Caveat
In his only start against a real opponent Williams was sacked 8 times
Hold the ball and he's toast. Demond hasn't faced a tuff Patriots defense like Ohio State has
You guys under rate Sayin and Day. He always has a quarterback and when Day sucked he was losing a playoff game
Lost at Oregon but holy fuck the rematch
-
I'm going to be so pissed at Walters if he is the only reason this game isn't an instant classic
-
We're going to assblast them.
-
-
The fuck is going on here?
@dnc HE IS RISEN!!!
-
SAYWHO the fuck is that?
.
-
I miss your shitty polls like the deserts miss the rain!
-
Counter-caveat.
This tuff patriot D is headed by an ozempic retread who keeps a PENCIL behind his ear and a LAMINATED play sheet. -
I hope I'm wrong, but I'm putting the money on OSU at -9.
