Time to bring back old Sparky?

With everything on video now should we streamline the death penalty and use it to help bring society back from the brink.
You can relitigate if you wish. More interested if anything has changed

I think many convicts deserve death, but I also think that them being prison-raped in an 8 x 8 cage for the rest of their lives is a greater punishment. Life, no chance at parole, and no lifting weights or shooting hoops.

Hanging in the public square was pretty damn effective. But Major Hasan is still on death row after killing 13 and wounding 30 other soldiers in November of 2009. Convicted and sentenced to death in August 2013. We fought and won World War II in less time than it took to convict Hasan who admitted to the killing and was 100% guilty. Not beyond a reasonable doubt guilty, but guilty with no doubt. Like with Charlie, the left dismissed the self-admitted jihadi motivation and ascribed the killings to work place violence. In this case, the killer like with Luigi Mangione are the real heroes.
Tsarnaev, the 2013 Boston Marathon bomber was convicted in 2015 and got the death penalty and yet 10 years later leftards are keeping him alive.

No love for Making Firing Squads Great Again? Utah still has this on the menu, most appropriately I must say.

That’s the primary means in Idaho.

Firing squad fast track.

Except even in Idaho they refuse to use it. Slaughter a few kids at the University of Idaho and then cut a plea deal. Even in the red states the criminal bureaucracy and the elected judges can't enforce the law because they really don't want to and our content to let standards slide with the accompanying emasculation of law enforcement.

No but force Prosecutors to prosecute
I’m against the death penalty because I don’t believe the state should have the power to end human life and I don’t like what it says about us as a society.
For those few who deserve capital punishment I rather they rot in a 6x9 for the rest of their lives and then an unmarked grave in a potters field for eternity.
But that’s just me.

And that is the feedback I was after

What if that is what the killer wants? Three meals a day and no one rots in a 6 by 9 in today's jail unless you were a Jan 6 arrestee. And what if the victim's family want them rotting in hell instead of getting 3 meals a day? The whole point of a Western Civilization government is to exert state power to protect its citizenry.

Again, the Gary Gilmore scenario.

Due to some poor choices much earlier in life, I happened to be “living” Multnomah County for a month with people who had been at OSP in Stayton with Kip Kinkle.
They said he is built like a linebacker now and is treated just like any other inmate other than he lives in iso with cable TV and a commissary account kept full by mass murderer groupies. Had is better than most in gen pop.

If we bring back high bail or no bail and prosecute and incarcerate to the max and clean up our streets I'd go back to not really caring that much if we have a death penalty
-
We did that and had done a pretty good job of cleaning up much of the US, especially Rudy in Blue City New York City. And then dems undid the promise so phuck them and have some permanent justice that can't be undone by a blue state governor or a dem president.

In 2020 the democrats decided fighting crime was racist
There is a long road back from that
