Marcel Reese

surprisingly well spoken….

He still has some eligibility because he went to a CC before UW…
-
He does a great job
When my dad died he had a signed football by Marcel. I've got it now
-
Why shouldn’t he be well spoken?
-
He's clean too.
-
he seemed a bit basic in his comments, but it was nice to have a homer calling the game. Must be what Notre Dame feels like all the time or when ESPN calls a SEC game. Potential is definitely there, just needs time and analysis prep
and frankly much better than Brock “Jughead” Huard. That dude has such an irritating voice, it’s like a pack of ferrets with their nits caught in a mousetrap. -
Chinned for Pack of Ferrets
-
Brock would have found a way to make it seem like UW got lucky and UC Davis was a few bad bounces from making it a game.
-
it was a joke from long ago
-
I knew what you were getting at, I was trying to push it across the finish line.
-
Brock is an anti-homer, which is the only thing worse than an announcer being a homer for the other team.
-
Brock is fine - when used sparingly
Problem is he never shuts the fuck up and talks into the next play trying
-
Yes. Talks too much. Nasally voice. Tries to make every single thing seem like life or death.
-
definitely an upgrade from Lincoln
For a conference network gayme against a 1AA team, that started at 11 Eastern, not bad at all
-
Brock seems to pattern his speaking after a southern mega church pastor. Ultra white teeth and the prosperity doctrine.
-
I remain convinced all the Brock hate stems from his Christianity
-
I had classes with Brock. Good guy. I wish Salk let him talk about the huskies more than 3 minutes per week.
-
I didn't know he wad a Christian when I named him Back Foot Brock
5 interceptions to give coog a Rose Bowl didn't help either
-
And he always has to have his homefield jacket on and it's gotta be corny like "let the local fan get his little minute in guys!!!"
It pisses me off. At least in Portland college football is talked about seriously, even if it double thinks dtd down in Austin to worship his school like they've won 8 titles already.
-
I'm Christian and didn't know he was. He absolutely goes out of his way to be an anti homer and that's the only reason I don't like him very much. His commentary is a bit robotic but I don't mind hearing his analytical style once a in a while
-
Nobody walks the path of Christ as a husky fan like I do..but I appreciate Brock's effort.
-
Not the case for me. Could be true in some regard with others. I don't think he shoves his beliefs in people's faces from what I've heard on the radio.
-
-
lies
-
Truth.
-
He's a beloved Raider
-
I’ve only heard him openly worship Bo Nix.
-
have no idea of his religion, as besides the Lords Prayer, religion is irrelevant to football IMO.
I don’t like the sound of Brock’s voice. And for the most part he spouts inane babble that isn’t funny. If you’re funny, you can still be a useful idiot. Lee Corso comes to mind. Dumb as pig shit on a griddle. But at least he knew he was a clown. Brock thinks he’s a Mensa level analyst.
-
I think it was Oregon's center in 2022 that he was going way overboard with the sloppy toppy during the broadcast that got called out.
-
I honestly don't sense the slightest bit of overblown ego with him.
-
I can never hate Brock after he was ironically assigned to call the 2022 Washington Oregon game. His call on that last TD is probably an all time sound byte for the program. I know…Kenny Wheaton type of shit…
