CBS News in crisis
Ellison now owns CBS. He is thinking about putting Bari Weiss in charge of news. Weiss is a liberal with some kind of conscience. She is certainly not a Conservative. She currently runs The Free Press. If you remember Bari she was run out of the NYT for not being far left enough. I guess support for Israel, limited to no DEI and questioning the harm that chopping off children's body parts was just too much for the far left so they treated her poorly and banished her. When I say banished, I mean she was shunned by virtually everyone on the far left. She was actually disinvited to organizations and get togethers. They did a number on her. More proof that if you step one foot off the liberal plantation, you will be destroyed.
Well, the liberals are throwing a fit. NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC are considered the mouthpiece for the left and in this situation, they are feeling really threatened. They can't allow the one of the big 5 to even think about letting in a different perspective than that of the far left. Even though the numbers for CBS are just horrible, they would rather the ship sink than allow an off the plantation journalist like Bari Weiss to participate in their one sided vehicle of lies.
This is going to be interesting.

Liberals are up in arms over reports that independent journalist Bari Weiss is eyeing a top role at CBS News as the new Paramount chief is inching closer to striking a major deal with her.
Weiss, a classical liberal who famously exited The New York Times in 2020 after facing bullying by far-left colleagues, has largely been ostracized by the cultural left for The Free Press' reporting that challenges DEI, gender ideology and media narratives against Israel during its ongoing war with Hamas.
Status newsletter author Oliver Darcy lamented the looming deal, calling the reported $100 to $200 million price tag an "absurd sum."
"David Ellison vowed not to politicize Paramount — yet his first big move at CBS News is a major bet on Bari Weiss, one of the most polarizing figures in media," Darcy began his newsletter Wednesday night. "Weiss, the stridently pro-Israel, proudly anti-'woke' culture warrior, has built her brand on polarizing political commentary — supposedly the type of material Ellison signaled to reporters that he wishes to run away from."
Darcy warned, "Handing Weiss the keys won’t broaden trust — it will further erode it among the people who actually watch the network, reinforcing suspicions about Ellison’s agenda. In effect, the move will set CBS News on a course to squander its hard-earned credibility with the audience that reveres its history and demands it stand unbowed to power."
HuffPost similarly branded Weiss the "polarizing editor of The Free Press" in its report and said the pending acquisition "offers a preview of how Ellison, the son of a top Trump ally, intends to shape CBS News moving forward."

In 2014 CBS had one top tier actual investigative journalist, Sharyl Attkisson. While no conservative she chased the news where it went, like debunking PIPS being under sniper attack in Bosnia and looking at the Benghazi disaster. She had won 5 Emmy Awards. As a result, she had her computer hacked by the Obama administration and
got firedleft for other opportunities. Frankly, I think CBS and the rest of the MSM are beyond saving. The left has no interest in honest journalism and just wants the lies to validate their aching vaginas. -
I was listening to Erick Erickson talk about this situation today- He knows Weiss and has appeared with her on a few Bill Maher shows. She a leftist lesbian who has this crazy idea of listening to other folks' opinions. She may not agree with them, but she's open to honest dialogue.
Obviously, this tolerance will not be tolerated.

The amazing thing about leftards is that the hive mind can't be contradicted. Lying and being lied to is the only acceptable path. The chicom crud wasn't from a gain of function research in a substandard Wuhan bio lab. Trump is a Russian agent. The border isn't open. And if it is open it can't be closed without legislation. None of this is per se left or right but for the left there can be no criticism of leftist policies or any examination of the results of those policies. Just lie for the power.

No better way to describe it than "Hive Mind". You'll see it on the boards when conservatives in Congress battle each other. The left believes it to be a weakness.
The cringiest piece is the left, to have uniformity, has to go to the lowest common denominator. That's why they will never speak out against trans violence, black on black crime, or anything that might offend the furthest portion of their base.
