Husky Mobile, a phone plan in which each monthly payment results in an “automatic contribution to UW Athletics, scholarship or student funds,” was launched Wednesday, the University of Washington announced in a news release.

Husky Mobile is a collaboration between UW, T-Mobile, Collegiate Mobile, and sports marketing firm Learfield. In addition to automatic payments to the university, Husky Mobile customers will also get game-day perks, including a fast pass to skip lines and seat upgrades.

“We are excited to launch this innovative, industry-first mobile partnership with Collegiate Mobile, powered by T-Mobile,” said UW athletic director Pat Chun in the news release. “This new product provides Husky fans another meaningful way to support UW Athletics, while partnering with a globally recognized brand that is rooted right here in our community. We look forward to seeing this partnership continue to expand.”

Phone plans range from $15 to $45 per month, with UW getting $3.15 a month on the $45 plan.

Customers can decide whether their contributions go to UW athletics, the UW Scholarship Fund or the UW Student Fund.
