My company was working on a new product that required quite a bit of physical research data. It involved ASTM standards and all that crap. We decided GA Tech and Cal Berkely were the most capable in this field of endeavor so we gave them money and started in. I was working with their teams for the better part of 2 years so I got to know these people really well. Virtually 100% of them were far left campus liberals. I was actually a bit shocked by the GA Tech group and how far left they were. I got cal but GA Tech was a surprise. These were the type of scientists that depended on learned data and past published technical research in their efforts to design and execute processes that would create new scientific data and mete out results dependent only on where the resulting data took them. The problem with both teams was that they injected their feelings into the process. By feelings I mean they were socialists who infected results with their political leanings. We wasted $100K and then decided that we would never use the university system again for research and results.
In simpler terms, we were a plastics company that invented the large garbage pails on wheels that the majority of this country uses currently for their recycling and garbage. We needed data on wind stability, weight distribution, safety, etc. Both universities actually charged us for doing a partial study on recycling and waste caused by the actual container we were designing and tried to damage our overall data which is not what we paid for nor ever asked for. It was never in the scope of work. They were essentially trying to do damage to our project and never bothered to ask us about our own massive recycling of damaged plastic containers and how we were pioneers in reclaiming our own broken or damaged plastic products and re-using the product in the production of new plastic products. I ended up withholding 33% of the balance that we owed and wrote a letter to both department heads explaining why. They agreed and we parted ways. They felt they got their point across I guess. Just ignorant liberals.

sounds like we need DEI/affirmative action to hire more republicans! Inclusion is important!
