Belinda Carlisle Reveals Tension in The Go-Go's

I believe it was originally on Showtime, but there was a lengthy documentary about The Go-Go's that will be better than any YouTube singular interview.
And yes, all of the details were in there including talking about their promiscuity and drug use … particularly about going to Palm Springs to have a coke bender prior to entering rehab.
It definitely gave a very good view of not only the band, but the personalities of each of the members

IIRC, the keyboard player for the Go Gos was rolling in cash because she retained songwriting credits and ka chinged royalties up the wazzu. The rest of the band were basically making jack shit.

Didn't know that. I'm going to try to find it.

If I recall right she also effectively had to quit for a while and if she plays at all now it's very limited because of some medical conditions with her hands
But yeah … she definitely came across as one of those in the bands that effectively had things more together than the others and that continued into what she's done post Go-Go's

Caffey and Weidlin also wrote stuff for Belinda’s solo career IIRC that made them some money as well.

When I was 13 I wrote a song called "Space Age Cage" about a guy trapped in a cage floating through outer space. To date I have made $0 in royalties.
-
Stalin every time someone brings up the lack of royalties for Space Age Cage
-
Upon further review only Caffey wrote songs for Belinda’s solo career

I have credit on a single recorded at Triangle in Fremont. No money though
