How do guys like him live so long in the first place?
It still sucks. It occurs to me that almost all of the remaining rock icons (like all of my youthful sports heros) are pretty old and likely to be dead before me.
I think we're about to hit critical mass of a lot of big names going quickly. Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, Mick, Keef, Paul, Ringo, etc are all over 80.
Son of a bitch…I take full responsibility. We just checked into a Condo in Seaside, the same condo we were in in 2021 when Charlie Watts sold the couch…
BTW - This fucking brilliant man, and many others, were drinking IN LINE at 1030AM. We were packed in like sardines from 1130. The Slipknot DJ started at 1300. Mastadon started at 1330. In theory (and in practice) you could be rolling hard by the first act! It was also hot by English standards.
There are A LOT of people at that show who probably only have vague recollections of Ozzy and Sabbath playing, since Oz didn't hit the start until after 2100.
We went to Slayer in Cardiff 2 days before the Sabbath show. We met a guy whom we eventually asked how many times he had seen Slayer, he said the most metal answer:
"Well, technically seven times. But I only remember 3"

Sad day for rock and roll. Not many icons like him are left.

I wonder who will be the last living rock legend?
A true fucking legend, pioneer, and inspiration to millions of headbangers.
RIP indeed
gutted by this one. A true legend in every aspect of the word
hope he's off in metal heaven slamming jack daniels with Lemmy and writing new shit with Randy Rhoads
Just played his last show a month ago? Makes you think he said fuck it, I got nothing left to live for.
Just like Bear Bryant
two weeks ago. I watched it, it was fucking great. he still sounded good.
I blame @ukdawg

I swear Keith is immortal
I think he'll get to 90 which is fucking insane considering the abuse on his body.
Keith Richards - that fucker will outlive GenZ
