KFC CSB Tim. Sanders had a roadside cafe/inn on the old Dixie highway in Corbin, KY. He started KFC around the time I-75 was being build about a mile off the Dixie and he realized the interstate was gonna kill his cafe/inn business. The cafe is still there.
That's pretty much how it worked with first born. As an infant, the instructor would launch the baby off the side of the pool deck and the kid would start dog paddling like a motherfucker. Mom/Dad was in the pool as a backup. But the training was for them to survive and advance back to the side of the pool, gripping on until help could arrive.
