I fly as little as possible I dislike it. Damn seats were made for midget BidenBros. First class works but they sure are proud of it. Last flight I took the precheck line was several times longer than the regular line. I was through in a couple minutes. I thought that odd.
The shoe thing was always stupid. The idiot who tried to put a bomb in his shoe failed, and that was 16 years ago. You have to draw the line somewhere. People who want to bubble wrap everything because of turrism and a cold ought to stay inside and let the rest of us live normal lives.
The state needs to humiliate its own employees on the frontlines too for it all to work. This is 1984 2+2=5 shit. If they can get you to believe something that is objectively absurd, then they can get you to blindly follow along with even more absurd things that are way less objective, since objectivity no longer matters.
All this reminds me of an acquisition that that I was part of like 15 years ago. Purchasing parent company and the founder put out a joint ways of doing business moving forward list that was posted in lobby. One item on the list was “we will not let corporate bureaucracy stifle innovation.” A year or so later the list got changed without anyone knowing it and that item was no longer on the list. I asked others that were there when the original list was created, if they remembered that being on there and no one had any recollection. Straight out of Animal Farm and 1984 stuff. A great quote from 1984 that Winston stays to himself a lot is “sanity is not statistical.” This board

The non poors among us just pay for TSA pre check and have worn shoes for quite a while.
The would be shoe bomber
Best $78 I ever spent
This was always a humiliation ritual.
Government and arbitrary authority at its finest.

For sure, humiliation and the state showing you visually who is the boss. The more ludicrous the better from the state’s perspective
Searching my balls is no picnic either
