Not sure. UW offered a local DT with a bunch of Big Sky offers so I assume the 4* kid a gonezo.
-
No joke, this kid was training for UFC the last few years. Last year was his first year playing HS football. He’ll fit right in with wrestlers Macon and Kahn and Taekwondo specialist Sanchez-Hernandez. IF, of course, they can land his commitment. Getting anyone in the boat seems like a tall order these days.
-
I thought he had us, Utah, and Arizona in his final 3.
Someone needs to be held accountable if we lose this kid to Utah where there's rumors of Whittingham retiring after this year.
-
they need to win more games this year… then they actually get a couple of these guys. Losers DL and Edge coach.
-
We lost the fucking O’Dea layups. It’s already Defcon 2, Kafusi and Stinky McBlinks-a-lot.
-
Fisch is a great recruiter. He said so and everyone believed him.
Must just need new assistants...
-
Pete was a great closer but even he couldn’t overcome Strausser, Pease, Gregory and to a lesser extent, Poopoo. If Judd doesn’t realize after this cycle that Kafusi isn’t cut out for Power 2 recruiting and fire his ass then he’s not the coach to get UW back to the playoffs. DSD is also correct, I think a 10 win campaign helps everything recruiting wise across the board, Kafusi excluded.
-
Those guys, Strauser and Please in particular, weren't even getting into the race for anyone of note. There was nobody to close. Once UW started making final lists, Petersen started closing guys.
The issue right now is that UW isn't closing. There's plenty of interest and hats on tables.

*visors on tables

I feel like O'dea has been fucked ever since Jimmy thought he was Chris Petersen and pulled the scholarship for Mark Nabou when he went on a visit to another school. I think they have basically struck out ever since. Also considering O'dea is made up of paid mercenaries its not too surprising these kids have little to no loyalty to a 'local' school. I did some TBS family stocking and came up with some doog excuses for why neither of this years batch signed with UW. 1st, Schwerzel probably grew up a Cuog fan, as his dad wrestled at the Cuog and probably threatened to beat up a husky fan or 2 after getting wasted watching the 92 Apple Cup. Kid definitely too good to be playing at WSU but UCLA hits the marks. As for Siale, his father unfortunately passed away (RIP) but I got the impression his dad was a MSU / midwest Polynesian. That's all I really got. I may have done much less for Siale. That said, the number of Polynesian kids at O'dea and Eastside Catholic is pretty staggering.

Pics from visit:
I like his size. Seems a legit 6'4.
-
Surprisingly I don’t hate the purple helmet in his photos as an alternative once/season.
… and I absolutely hated when Lambo went away from our traditional gold helmets. When I saw the photo of the purple helmet in the Seattle Times, I was so pissed off! That was a fireable move on its own. -
Scott lawyer says what’s up.
-
He was highly productive before getting hurt last year so hopefully that means he knows how to play football. I am assuming Oceanside was playing decent competition too. He doesn't have to play right away either. If he didn't get hurt he probably has a lot more offers and interest from big programs. Nice get.

Roman says he (Tokio) and Umu Cais are BFFs. Don’t twist.
-
Visits to ASU, Cal, Colorado, and UCLA, so what we would expect from a typical UW coaching staff
-
ASU and UCLA are actually pulling some good recruits. Not the same as beating them out say, two or three years ago. It's not Notre Dame or Michigan, I get it, don't twist but it's not WSU or Boise either.
-
another one? Or did this kid randomly commit
-
Judds Twitter game is random at best.
-
It's a NFL Twitter game
-
He’s got a good frame, and had 7.5 sacks in 4 games last year. Maybe they see him getting to 240 and being an edge rusher.
-
Roman alluded to that. 240 seems borderline too small for edge in the B10. If he’s got the body to support a lean 250 then I guess that would probably suffice.
-
Yesterday or Monday, I saw a post on a ST article about Husky Football that Kaufusi thought he had David Schwerzel in the bag so he stopped calling him. It was just one person and on the internet so this is obviously not absolute fact but it makes some sense.
-
Ka-douchey? Can’t seem to find a good nickname.🤷♂️
-
KaFooli. But some will be forgiven if he gets the DT from CO.
-
He’s got a big frame, so it’s possible. I watched his highlights, and he looks good physically. He looks like a legit 6’4”, has really long arms, and moves well. Not sure if he’s a legit 220 or how good his competition is, but he looks like an interesting project. He had some coverage and receiving highlights, so even if he can’t bulk up enough to be a full time pass rusher, he could possibly be a long rangy KJ Wright style OLB and do some situational pass rushing.
-
We just offered the #197 ranked WR. I imagine there's a pretty good chance we beat out Akron, Western Michigan, and Toledo for his services
-
WR and maybe DB are the two positions where I’ll cut this staff some slack. Cowing wasn’t a top flight recruit. They pulled Singer from UTEP and he had his only really good season with Arizona. He was Meh at USC and Utah. Giles Jackson finally looked like a 4* recruit last year. Arguably UWs most consistent offensive player. If they like someone I’ll LIPO. Kafusi gets no quarter. He’s been very consistently bad at both Arizona and UW.
-
That tells me we’re not getting Spafford, the kid from Norman, or any of the other highly ranked guys we’re in on. They may have committed already and I missed it though. We have a lot of receivers on our roster, especially from last year’s class, so this isn’t really surprising.
