Most Impactful Husky Transfers

CBS Sports recently named Penix the most impactful transfer of the portal era of all of college football. I'm not going to protest and it got me thinking, who are the most impactful Husky transfers? And not just the portal era? Not counting JC transfers, only four year schools.
- Penix QB Indiana
- Ja'Lynn Polk WR Texas Tech
- Dillon Johnson RB Mississippi State
- Jonah Coleman RB Arizona - He could easily get to #2 if he fulfills expectations in 2025.
- Giles Jackson WR Michigan
- HWSNBN
- Jacob Eason QB Georgia
- Germie Bernard WR Michigan State
- Wayne Taulapapa RB Virginia
- Ephesians Prysock CB Arizona

Corey Dillon.
I didn't read.

PGOS

Peep the not counting JC transfers thing. That's a whole different ball game. I'm also thinking about the most-impactful guys who portaged out and it's painful - Puka, Latu, Haener (thought that really worked out for us long term).
-
It's probably not possible to unseat big Penix without a natty and a Heisman invite. Guessing he doesn't move down that list during our lifetimes.
-
Jeremiah Martin (and his barber).
-
No Zach Durfee? It’s my understanding he’s a major difference maker
-
Ties into recruiting right now but essentially kicking Latu off the team because doctors said to and then not retaining Malloe and letting him go to a West Coast competitor has been one of the program's more underrated fuck ups over the last 3-4 seasons. Because there's not as many local DL we didn't think we needed a guy that has put out multiple players in the NFL and shits purple and tan?
He did have a year where he didn't recruit a single DL and was killed here for it. But it's looking like we should have kept him and huff after 2021.
-
definitely not Skinny
-
good call on Martin. I’d put him over Prysock and probably Towel Papa.
Brailsford and Bernard are high on the portal losses. We also had a couple of quiet guys like Eifler and Jermaine Kelly who I think we thought were busts but ended up having good careers and got drafted.
Stringfellow was one I thought was gonna sting but ended up kind of just being a guy.
-
Prysock has done nothing for me yet. Ultimately he being on the team cost us another year of Thad Dixon which sucks.
I thought he was good because nobody seemed to throw his way for a bit the first few games. Turns out we were just playing make a wish qb's for most of the season. -
Latu is one of the bigger fumbles in program history. It's like he went to Miami or A&M or somewhere I would suspect they might be more mercenary in caring about his health. He went to fucking UCLA.
I think Puka didn't like Seattle, but picture him with Odunze, McMillan, Polk, and Penix in 2022.
-
I think UCLA had similarly fumbled Jaelan Phillips to Miami and Latu was their makeup move for it. Worked for them.
-
I don't think puka wanted to leave, but his mom seemed to be struggling with some stuff and he went home. Polk maybe transfers if he stays but that was a great wr room.
-
I would switch Coleman and Taulapapa's rankings. Also, I didn't see anything out of Prysock to warrant him being in the top 10.
-
Not a Prysock guy but don't know who goes there - the other options I considered were Valdez, Goforth, Jeremiah Hunter? We've lacked in quality transfer depth.
-
Valdez was actually pretty good. Just asked to do too much.
-
I think I just have PTSD of that Iowa lineman picking up Valdez and relocating him,
-
I mean, fuck Jabar Muhammad, but he did start at CB for a team with a bad defense that managed to go 14-1. Someone had to play there and he wasn’t terrible.
Edit: or was he #6 and I am dense?
-
HWSNBN mean He Who Shall Not Be Named. Get your reads down.
-
tyfy … skimmed by that original being retarded with acronyms around here. Dillion Johnson at 2 and Jabbar at 3 imo
Top 5 would have been a better list. Eason get the f out here. Anyone on the list still on the team is below players from BeBoer’s 2 year run.
-
Warren Moon was pretty good.
-
oh my reads are downs alright
-
Hugh Edward McElhenny was a pretty good transfer as well….
-
Apparently some of didn't read that I meant only four year college transfers so mostly the portal era. Not JCs.

Watching this condensed 2022 Oregon game, are we sure Wayne Taulapapa was that bad?
Dude's getting 6 yards off of nothing here. What game(s) did he suck in? UCLA and Cal?
-
He didn't suck. I've watched that 2022 game. He was great in the Alamo too

Good point!☝️☝️🤔
-
I don’t know why Germie is on the list. He didn’t do anything of note here outside of muffing a punt that almost fucked us.
