cuog/boov going to spend their 'war chest' of cash payin the buyouts for all of these schools. cuog also going to spend their cash on facilating the debt they issued for their stadium 'enhancements.'
it never would have happened but cuog should have taken the money and dropped down to FCS play montana, montana state, eags, get butts in seats.
You’re stupid if you actually believe wsu should have dropped down to big sky level while playing Montana State caliber teams. The mountain west still hurts their pride which I love as a doog.
They deserve better than being relegated to a conference with ewu. The MWC is their wheelhouse which is fine by me. The Mountain West Conference is the pig, rebranding it to the pac is the lipstick.
Carrying the Pac in a way like this is like a rock band who plays state fairs and casinos whose only original members left are the second keyboardist and Tamborine player. The Coug and Beav feel like Big 12 progrums to me but that won't work with geography or some shit I guess. Too bad.
Every school is going to have to make some cuts, and with the way track is constructed of a bunch of mini-sports it is the natural first target.
He's 88 sure but to act shocked by this...
It's not like UW isn't going to look at volleyball (they let our awesome coach leave for Minnesota, they don't give a fuck), tennis, Beach volleyball, etc.
beach volleyball is actually the most cost effective sport for title 9 compliance. That’s why so many schools are adding it. Very low facilities/equipment cost and they only play 3-4 tourneys/year so minimal travel costs.
You've said that before but nobody even knows that UW has a beach volleyball team. We also have a lot less warm weather schools in our conference. It just doesn't make sense.
Hell, even golf is in trouble. Probably why our women's coach retired.
Then even more reason to get rid of it. Even if it isn't much money there's no need to do that for anything except rowing and sports like hockey that already have to go the club route.
No? Any reason why that has anything to do with beach volleyball and rowing? There's another thread about rowing, I disagree that they're going to have a problem there.

Remember that whole "Did we just become best friends!?!? schtick and t-shirts between Coug and Beav? Still the most pathetic thing I've ever seen.

Is Texas State even 1A? Apparently

Zombie Skynard
things going WELL for cuog.
slashing half the T&F team did not sit well with the 88 year old hall of fame WSU sprinter and former long-time coach John Chaplin:
“I feel like going over to the alumni center and chopping that tile with my name on it out of the floor,” former Cougars coach John Chaplin said.
and
“I don’t want my name attached to the university in any way,” he said. “I’m embarrassed to be a graduate of WSU.”
Of all the things, that’s what it took for him to be embarrassed to be a Coug?

Keep all the hot chick sports.
Tennis, golf, volleyball, track.

I’m pretty sure UW Beach Volleyball exists. Is it a scholarship sport?
pretty sure beach volleyball for Oregon and Washington don’t play in the big ten. Similar to usc/ucla water polo.

UW planning on having a 60 scholarship football team?
