Is he the new version of the "footprint" guy that DeBoer "stole" from Michigan. I can't remember his name but he was a big fat dude with a whispery voice that was super hyped up as a recruiting guru but didn't do jack shit for our recruiting
You're thinking of Courtney Morgan, DSD, and yes he was a lot of fucking hot air for nothing. A lot of the "Dawgman insider" types were saying he was going to take recruiting to another level then he did absolutely nothing. Let's see what Griffin can do. I do know supposedly he was key with Greene and Colman-Brusa possibly, so he's already done a lot more than Morgan.
The first-year general manager was handed a three-year deal that will see him earn an average annual salary of $825,000. Morgan will make a prorated salary of $775,000 for the rest of this year. He will make $825,000 in his second year and $875,000 in the final year of his new deal."
Morgan is listed as GM of Alabama and Griffin Director of Recruiting at UW. Could be similar jobs but Morgan has a more inflated title because he's been in the industry for a lot longer. Either way, it's a type of position that seems pretty murky with what they actually do. It's possible Morgan did kind of a Jimmy Lake thing where he actually made a difference earlier in his career and built himself up but then just has been coasting on reputation and getting other people to do stuff ever since.
Not sure about GM. Don't see one listed on the UW site and these titles are getting so fucked out there's like 8 things that all sound the same but different and hard to decipher what certain things actually mean.
It certainly sounds like Griffin is the real deal and not Morgan. One thing I like about having him and Taylor Mays on the staff is they are local guys who went out of state but now work for UW.

It’s kinda like the position “white tight end” (WTE) except it’s “fat black hype man” (FBHM).

Forgot to add supposedly Morgan had a great relationship with Conerly or something which was hyped when he was hired. That clearly went a long ways.
He’s a good hype man for schools that recruit themselves
Naw he got Kodi.
Sounds like Marcus Griffin is plowin for real.👍🏻👍🏻
I meant in terms of job. Does he hold the same job position as Courtney Morgan (i wouldn't remember his name)?

Is there anyone at UW listed as a GM?

Morgan’s biggest fluffer chinned your post lol
The best thing I got from that was he said he felt like they were building around him and not just trying to plug him into a “system.”
