My first game as a student. I assumed that’s how it would always be. Little did I know I’d watch Gilby lose to Nevada in the same building like 2 years later. Not long after that Ty would suddenly senior his way to the most pathetic effort loss to a miserable Stanford team imaginable, and my season tickets would never again be renewed.
I talked to Tui when he was on Sark’s staff after a practice. Told him my favorite play from that game was his rushing TD when he gave Dan Morgan a forearm to the chin as he went into the end zone.
Tui smiled and pointed to the west end zone, saying that was from the 2 on the right hash in that end zone. He probably still remembers the play call.
He was OC at Rice the last couple years under former OL coach from Stanford, Mike Bloomberg. I think they all got fired this last year. The offense wasn’t good.
It was my Junior year @ UW and I went to that game with my cousin, who's from Florida, and we happened to sit next to some other Floridians. They were all talking mad shit, laughing and giggling how they were gonna kick our ass before kickoff… until the Santana Moss fumble. They then fell silent and were looking at each other like, "What the fuck have we gotten ourselves into here?" Glorious.

It's not a great joke. I just thought it was funny to put your book next to a book about a cross dressing serial killer and a gay cannibal.

Is Tui still coaching college football? I was pretty bummed when he followed Patron to SC and didn’t coach the TEs here.

Fire Poopoo yesterday and bring Tui back home.
Tui is an assistant with the Detroit Lions.
