Worthy sequel, maybe even slightly better than the original. If you like killing cartel gangs and autism jokes this is seemingly 2 hours you won't feel wasted.
The Monkey
This is actually a dark comedy and not at all the Final destination type of movie that was advertised. Sin City/Anime style gore and trying to be a Coen Brothers film, probably trying way too hard though and almost none of the jokes land for me. Think that Perkins thought the writing was way more clever than it was.
Thunderbolts. Marvel movies are my guilty pleasure. Thunderbolts might be the best they’ve done since Endgame (I haven’t seen the new Captain America).
I do worry that Lewis Pullman is gonna get typecast as a Bob.
I have been watching it as Apple seems to put out decent product as opposed to Netflix slapping their N logo on shows from other countries with bad dubbing.
It’s not bad and is a quick 30 minute show each week
Have not. However, if you really, really hate straight white males then Companion will never be topped in this subgenre. This is like if Greta whatever the fuck who made Barbie decided to make a suspense/horror movie.
I didn't notice that as much with Companion but I might have been on my phone only half watching. That shit is really high on the Family Feud board of stuff that has destroyed the TV and movie industry. Then every three years they'll make some movie that's like porn of that stuff and it will make money and possibly for other reasons like Barbie and marketing and they'll act like that justifies making endless projects like that which lose money and continue to alienate 51% of the audience.
Yes Jack Quaid is the villain in the story, but that last dialogue at the dinner table and speech she makes is like word-for-word your typical hate speech toward Millennial straight white men.
Yeah fully agree about Barbie. My metrosexual, slave-to-their-spouses friends thought that movie was hilarious. For me it ruined everything I respected about Ryan Gosling's stints doing Drive and Only God Forgives.
Barbie made money because of the property and then marketing and hyping that you had to see it as a woman or something. Honestly the first like hour of it was painfully boring and like a one note skit that should have been 2 minutes max then it had a bunch of hypocritical bs including the evil all male Mattel board when that's not reality at all. Then the best part was the most popular and only entertaining and funny parts and characters of it were Gosling and men.
Larry not Laurence Fishbourne and Jimmy Smits being on the Playhouse was news to me. I was two old for it. Must have been a big break for both those guys

Blue Hawaii and the original Lilo & Stitch. Had an Elvis and Hawaii theme going on last night.
Murder…she wrote.
Pat Summerall voice.
She was only 10 years older than Elvis.
The Accountant 2

The Visit. 2015
M Night Shyamalan movie that was alright. Nothing ghostly or super natural. Cost $5M made $98M. I never recall seeing it advertised
Companion.
Ex Machina will be the first and last great android/AI movie for a long time I think.
Funny. Wasn't aware it existed.
Has anyone checked out MurderBot on Apple yet?

In A Violent Nature. 2024 Hulu
Kind of a new Friday the 13th. Lots of good kills and gore. Kinda slow with some shots that are kind of long then you see something happen.

Casting a hot blonde helped. Almost watched it
Thank god I fell asleep during Barbie. The 10 minutes I did make it through was gayer than a night in the Tenderloin.
PeeWee Herman documentary pt. 1
Very good so far. Lots of info I never knew.
Earnhardt - 4 part series on Prime
Coffey and Foxy Brown - Pam Grier double header and she has a nice double header

Natasha Lyonne was a little kid on it
