Devil's advocate - starts like these being something to bitch about is strictly a west coast thing. Prime time games in pretty much every sport at every level on the east coast and midwest is like 8 or 9pm starts.
Weber State had a good crowd for what it was. It was certainly better than in year's past during the Petersen/Lake years when we weren't playing local teams like Eastern or Portland State.
This is true, but part of that I wonder if it was a glow from 2023 that even with the nuclear bomb that was that offseason I think others like me had a yearning to just be back in Husky stadium.
Two early 8 PM games when the weather is nicer isn’t that bad and a lot better than an 8 PM kickoff in November. But also if you spent most of the day at the lake or the beach, it would be hard to get the enthusiasm to pack up and go to a football game.
For the party crowd adults 8 PM kick offs are probably great, but if you’re trying to get a young fan base like say under the ages of 13 parents aren’t going to want to take their kids to these games
But also, if your kids are playing sports, maybe these late kickoffs are the only way to take your kid to a game. I’m always torn on these kind of is what it is at this point. As long as it’s not every game like it was a few years ago
These being the two-best chances for good weather games also sucks. Yeah it's nice that it will probably be warmer for later night games but you only get so many chances for sunny and warm in Husky Stadium.

So much for taking my kids to one of the C-level non-conference games in sunny weather. Those are supposed to be the cheap, family-friendly games.
JFC this shit is beyond ridiculous.
It still might be, but the Spring Game turnout was good and should have dropped off, then we have a somewhat passable cupcake and not just an FCS.
Either way it'll be interesting.
Yep. Exactly.
You can go multiple ways on this…

Well now that there's zero chance of taking my kids to Colorado State I guess I gotta just bite the bullet and drive up myself and get shit-bombed.
At least we're being paid B1G dollars for 8pm KO instead of Pac-12 dollars for a similar tim
I'm old enough to remember when a 3:30 Pacific game on Prime Sports was controversial
12:30 was sacred. No more. It was the price for having more than ABC televise games
3:30 is actually perfect for tailgating. And you get home
5 or 6 is where we are. Prime time in the east
Pacific time>>>>>Eastern time for sports
Imagine the NBA final game starting at 9pm local
Or NBA Finals that came on at 11:30 pm local…
That was so CBS could show the Kemper Open lol
The games can start at 4 am PST for all I care
