Alright Senate, now do your fucking job

Im not holding my breath with these spineless uniparty cunts.
-
That bill is still a pile of shit
-
It’s the best you’re going to get for the fiscal year so stop whining about it. Changes will be made in the Senate but nothing substantial.
The alternative is all the 2017 Trump tax cuts expire. Next budget is when spending cuts can really start being implemented.
-
This is a 10 year bill
-
It’s not an annual budget bill. Budgets are still annual.
-
No it isn't... it's the framework for the next 10 years... why the fuck is usaid funding etc in it... why keep funding all of Joe's programs... it's a pile of shit.
-
Unless I’m completely wrong, this bill does not fund the annual spending of the federal government for the next ten years.
USAID was not going to be cut. That’s a delusion. Accountability is a start.
-
Correct. The ten year thing is and has always been a joke. It’s a check the box exercise to show the ten year effect of the legislation. Both sides have weaponized the 10 year thing, Republicans put their cuts in the out years and get to claim cuts without actually cutting anything. Dems rig it so their immediate cash grabs can be called deficit neutral in the out years with proposed tax increases that still need legislation to be become real.
-
This isn't about the bill.
It's about who Lara Trump ISN'T going to fund at mid-terms.
Using Cocaine Mitch's playbook.
-
I was promised no tax on social security and hell will be coming to the GOP prayer breakfast if I don't get it
I'm boomer and a senior and we are legion and we vote
-
Deeply disappointing to see USAID in there.
-
Soooooo when do we start reducing the deficit again?
-
Fuck off
-
Why? We were both in agreement that we wanna see the deficits come down? Are you saying that’s not gonna happen??
-
I was clear
Fuck off
-
overpromise and under deliver. Time for the deficit to go up, up, up!
-
Your concern over deficit spending seems like a recent development
-
shrinking revenues is the smart play
all the popular gals say so
-
Raise taxes and spending the democrats way
Any reason why Biden and the democrats didn't repeal the 2017 tax cuts?
-
The democrats would have spent more... that's the problem, the GOP used to be about cutting and smaller government now they are for growing it too…
And yes I know this isn't the annual budget, but it's what it's based on... and when you tout dodge and don't have any of their cuts in there, it's a joke... and I'll believe we will have spending cuts in the cr in September when I see it... the GOP is spineless.
-
we’re all concerned about it for both Democrat and Republican administrations.
My irritation is you guys seem to lose track of it when a Republican is in charge sort of like…. now
for the bitching you guys do about the deficit not one of you called that out as a concern on this thread you don’t have to take my word for it just look -
The fact you have not allowed the past 45 years to disabuse you of the notion that the GOP was ever about "cutting and smaller government" is perhaps the single best proof that you really CAN fool some of the people all of the time.
-
Someone wants to distract everyone from the fact that his team wants to cut revenue even more.
-
Was the question too tough honey?
-
And fuck yes I want taxes cut more. Which increases revenue but don't let facts get in your way
-
Every tax policy we've ever had coincided with increased revenues. Because the American economy, stupid. It isn't even in doubt that revenues would be higher but for the Bush and Trump tax cuts—the tax cuts that actually put us on the path to an unsustainable and ever-growing deficit. And yes, it's politically difficult to raise taxes; much easier to put everything on a credit card.
-
So cutting taxes isn't cutting revenue. Glad we cleared that up
So the people you voted for didn't want to repeal the tax cut and that's my problem?
I'm sure a trillion dollar green energy boondoggle helped the deficit
The voters are on to the democrats bullshit Sally
-
I love suppressors being removed from NFA but they needed to keep SBR's on the bill too!
-
It isn't even in doubt that revenues would be higher but for the Bush and Trump tax cuts
I'm perfectly happy to see your entitlements cut in order to compensate.

Average life expectancy when social security was started was about 62 years of age. It's now over 79. Raise the age for SS payments as a starting point. Pretty simple.
